Sonesta Simply Suites Philadelphia Mount Laurel

After this past weekend’s stay, unfortunately, I cannot give Sonesta Simply Suites Philadelphia Mount Laurel a 5-star rating. While there were some positive aspects to our visit, there were numerous issues that impacted our experience.|The positives:|Check-in was quick and efficient, and the staff was friendly and welcoming.|The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep.|The shower had excellent water pressure and hot water, which was very much appreciated.|The rate we received for our 3-night stay was very reasonable, providing good value for the cost.|However, there were several downsides that need addressing:|The room was dimly lit, and several lights were non-functional, including the lights in the bathroom.|The bathroom vent was inoperable, which co

My husband and I are traveling up from Florida to Boston. We stopped around 4am and planned on leaving at 3pm. We explained this to the front desk who happily charged us for one day and gave us our room key. 12pm our room key stops working, we’re stuck in 40 degree raining weather trying to access the stairs. We ended up walking through the front, where the young front desk worker had been smoking out front for the past 45 minutes. House keeping knocks on our door incessantly, trying to finish the whole floor so they can be done with their work. Ignoring the family inside who is sleeping. The young front desk worker then calls our room and tells us we have to leave immediately. We were only in the hotel for maybe 8 hours and paid for a whole night. Desk staff is friendly & helpful, but it's downhill from there. There were bags of trash on the 1st & 2nd floors outside the elevator my entire stay, which was only 2 nights - I checked out early to stay somewhere else. My room smelled of smoke, there wasn't another room to move to nor was the ozone machine available to help remove the smell. My clothes reeked when i left. The lightbulb in the main room lamp was missing. There wasn't any soap in the dispenser in the shower; they did provide 'facial' soap bars, at least. The person above my room stomped back and forth and slammed doors at odd hours, which i know the staff can't help, but thin walls/floors are annoying. Bottom line: I wasn't comfortable while i was there, so i left. While it's affordable, there's a reason their rates are low

Positive: Nice hotel great price . Nice staff . Kitchen in the rooms . Comfy beds Negative: Laundry machines always broke , and the vending machine not working . Other then that great hotel

Couch had stains on it, none of the shampoo bottles or conditioner bottles were full, the elevator LITERALLY smells like it’s on fire. I took videos of the bottles being empty but google review won’t let me add videos
