Hampton Inn Philadelphia/Mt. Laurel

The staff was excellent during our stay. The building is an embarrassment (or should be) to the owners. Being dated is one thing. But this place is down right neglected! Water damage with tubs of damp-rid hidden behind the curtains. Bag paint, caulk, shelves coming off the walls, the room door that had to be forced shut, poor ceiling repairs, an elevator that can't decide if it wants to shut the door or not, luggage carts that are barely holding together, and much more. Like I said... the staff on site was great. But whoever owns this particular facility doesn't care about anything except collecting money or else they would address these issues that have been going on for a long time. Location is convenient to the New Jersey Turnpike, I-295, other major routes and Philadelphia. The hotel is set off of a divided highway but far enough back I did not experience any road noise. It is an area of other hotels and office buildings which offer plenty of space to walk a dog and to take a nice long walk if you wish to do so. Though not within walking distance, there are plenty of supermarkets, restaurants, and services nearby. I stayed on the top floor at the end of the hallway so I had no room above me or to one side. I stayed for three nights. It was a very pleasant stay. Room was quiet, well equipped, everything worked and was in good repair except that the bathroom sink drained slowly. What keeps us coming back year after year are the people, especially Bill and Na Na at the front desk. They are the true superstars of this hotel. Their warmth, their patience, and the way they make you feel seen the moment you walk through the door sets the tone for your entire stay. My stay at the Hampton by Hilton was excellent, thanks to Milan at the front desk. From the moment I arrived, she was warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. Milan went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and made check-in quick and easy. She greeted me with a smile every time I passed by the lobby and truly made me feel at home. It’s clear that she cares about guests and takes pride in her work. The room was clean and comfortable, and the rest of the staff were also friendly, but Milan’s exceptional service really stood out. She’s a true asset to the hotel — I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this location to others!
