Residence Inn by Marriott Syracuse Carrier Circle

Highly disappointed. Can't honestly review this hotel on what it is like to stay here because they canceled my reservation 4 days before SU parents' weekend as they over sold the hotel (by a lot). I was told by the GM, Jennifer, that my reservation was cancelled and that I was being moved to a hotel 30 minutes away. I inquired as to why my reservation was canceled being that I have status with Marriott and she said that status didn't matter and that reservations were being canceled by the last to reserve. Well, that is a lie because when I looked back, I made this reservation in January of 2025 (it is now Sept 23rd). This affected many families at Residence Inn as well as the Courtyard - all managed by the same franchise owner and apparently, this is not the 1st time this has happened. I

There apparently are several buildings around a central courtyard. The desk attendant was very helpful in getting a room for me in the main building. Parking was hampered by the recent heavy snow. The room was clean and comfortable. Maid service is offered daily. I was not staying as a long term resident. If so, you might need pots. There is no regular oven, just an electric cooktop. Breakfast offered biscuits and gravy, little premade omelettes- came frozen and warmed up in the kitchen, fried eggs in a similar manner. Waffle maker, oatmeal and a variety of bread and cereal etc . I would stay again

I absolutely loved my stay at the Residence Inn. The room was so spacious, the full kitchen was an amazing plus. It was a luxury to be able to keep and reheat any food I has saved. Didn't have to leave the room for ice, the refrigerator made it. The table to dine on and a separate table to work from were all luxuries I have not had at other hotels. This stay truly set the bar on what I expect from future stays. The outdoor lounge area is quite peaceful. Try the hot tub! Very relaxing. The staff are all friendly. Sheika was the best! The breakfast is not the run of the mill continental, you have options, even better, they offer vegan options and non-pork product options as well. Your not going to get perfection but you absolutely will get comfort and convenience. Great hotel, rooms are clean and seemingly well maintained. Breakfast was good and had a decent variety. One night stay or multiple nights, it is well worth it for the price.

Last year all was fine. Yesterday we found toilets that barely flushed. A plumber is needed. Also, only decaf was provided for the in room coffee maker. Otherwise all was well. The rooms are comfortable, breakfast adequate, and the location works well.
