Residence Inn by Marriott Richmond Chester

Pros and Cons of this hotel. Pros- Its more off the highway so it's quieter. Staff is nice and works hard. Cons-It's listed as Fully Renovated on the Marriott website but it really isn't. Rooms are very dated vs newer residence inns

Best hotel we've ever stayed at! The rooms were set up so perfectly as far as layout and there was everything you could need to cook meals if you so wished. Everything was clean and we felt very comfortable. It was very quiet, the staff was friendly, and the parking was free. The breakfast had many options and check out time gave plenty of time to sleep in. Would stay again! 10 out of 10!

Wonderful hotel! Very clean beds and space, staff was friendly, the rooms are nice a quiet, and I just love the layout of the room! I love that the kitchen was fully stocked with what looked like new everything! Loved that you could just swivel the TV from the living room to the bedroom with ease. I very much appreciated that the bathroom and shower were in their own separate room away from the sink so that you could keep your toothbrushes out on the counter and someone could be using the bathroom while someone was using the mirror. Love that you could crack the windows for some outside air, because the only negative thing I will say is that when we arrived our room smelled *very* bad. I'm assuming somebody left something in the garbage disposal. From opening the windows and letting it air

Positive: They were so accommodating! I had to be at a funeral before my check-in and they were able to get me in so I could freshen up after being on the road for 11 hours. The customer service was great and they were so sweet. I would stay here again! Negative: The location worked for the funeral but was not convenient for seeing other parts of Richmond. Someone else may think it was great. The area was quiet and peaceful, and I appreciated that very much!

An amazing Buffet along with the great stuff. The staff was almost continuously busy cleaning and making the place better . I have stayed at very few hotels with this attention to detail A manager who understands that the pool being out of commission requires understanding to those of us who travel with little ones wanting to swim.
