Homewood Suites by Hilton Richmond-Chester

This hotel was very nice! They came promptly if anything was requested. The managers came over to personally greet & meet guests & actually held a friendly & fun small conversation. Mrs. April did amazing with the hotel breakfast! She made sure everything was hot & stocked. The area was well maintained & clean! She was a friendly spirit as well! Don’t know how she got the eggs to be tasty but she did her job well!!! I will be sure to recommend Homewood Suites Richmond-Chester!

Location: Homewood Suites Richmond-Chester||Atmosphere: When entering the hotel, I noticed that the hotel grounds were well kept and free from any litter. Upon entering the hotel lobby, I was impressed with the cleanliness of the lobby and front desk area. We were greeted immediately and given our room key cards quickly without any hassle. ||Rooms: My family checked into a 2 bedroom suite. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and stocked with all the essentials. The beds were very comfortable. ||Service: All staff were very pleasant and accommodating. I want to give a shout out to Ms. Tywanda Jackson. She was the staff member who prepared the breakfast. My family and I were very impressed with the variety of breakfast items served. A wonderful experience at Homewood Suites- Chester Virginia a little south of Richmond. Upon entry to lobby, check in process was easy and handled by Shaynia. Who was both friendly and engaging. My wife and I had booked a two double bed room (online) but ask for an upgrade to King when arriving at the hotel. The General Manager, Samantha overheard the request and immediately approved the upgrade which she graciously provided to us free of additional charges. Samantha also informed us at that time of the 2 hour social offered in the evening which included homemade delicious hot food and drinks. Quality coffee (including decaf) and tea is available 24/7. Room we booked wasn’t available, so they “upgraded us” to a king, except we have 3 kids so that really wasn’t an upgrade for us. Room didn’t have linens for pull out couch. Had to go back to front desk, were told they had no more pillows… woke up trying to leave as early as possible. Breakfast was not ready at 6:30 as advertised, (at 6:45 the guy was still trying to find things). had to go get breakfast at Hardee’s. On the plus side the room was nice, clean and the shower was amazing. 11 out of 10 for the shower!! Amazing pressure!

Overall Score: 6.8/10 New place. Hotel felt friendly and easygoing. Staff came across as genuine and helpful, and the room looked fresh and updated. Good vibe overall, nothing big to complain about. Staff & service 8.2/10 Everyone was kind and seemed sincere, not fake. Always around when you needed something and kept things moving smoothly. Room 8.0/10 Renovated room looked clean and modern. Comfortable setup with everything in good shape. Towels & extras 8.1/10 They put out towels and bags for the soccer players in the rain, which really helped keep things dry and clean. Exactly what was needed. Gym 3.9/10 Very small with limited equipment. Hard to get a real workout in, so it felt almost useless.
