Courtyard by Marriott Richmond Chester

The room is clean and bed is comfortable, Air conditioned is not automatic, old school set up, fan to low or high and runs loudly all night. Unfortunately there is a bar across the street that has live rock/metal music so when you are in the room you feel like you are in the middle of a Metallica concert. This was my 595th stay at Marriott and probably the worst front desk check in check out service I’ve ever experienced.

Comfortable beds, quiet hotel, and friendly staff. I checked into this hotel rather late, yet Leah at the front desk was kind, friendly, and enjoyable to talk to. ||The hotel was clean and quiet for my quick midweek stay. The room was spacious, bed was perfect, I slept well.

Positive: The rooms were nice Negative: Noisy people in adjoining room. Couldn't sleep because they were so noisy and talking and fighting. Strong smell of marijuana in room and hall. Not a pleasant night at all.

Recently renovated and in great condition. Front desk very helpful and professional. Quiet in second floor room.

My experience at this Marriott location was incredibly frustrating and upsetting. From the moment I checked in, I was treated with disrespect and made to feel unwelcome. The staff was dismissive, unprofessional, and showed clear signs of discriminatory behavior — something no guest should ever have to deal with. On top of the poor customer service, they attempted to overcharge my card by an extra $200 without any explanation. When I asked about the charge, I was met with attitude instead of answers. It felt like they thought I wouldn’t notice or question it, which is completely unacceptable and unethical. I expected professionalism and hospitality from a brand like Marriott, but what I received was the complete opposite. I will not be returning to this location, and I would advise others
