Residence Inn by Marriott Orlando Lake Mary

Only 11 minutes to/from the Sanford International Airport, but located in a comfortable, clean and safe neighborhood this hotel offers everything you could possibly need for a over night or weekend long stay. Kathy at the front desk was very welcoming and even provided a walking map of several restaurants and even a Publix to purchase supplies from. The fire pit gathering area provided a nice spot to cozy up and the grill was a nice option, though we didn't use it. The room was stylish, spacious, clean and well maintained. The hotel room doors did not even make a slamming noise when closed like at other hotels we have been at. Their was plenty to watch on the tv and the morning breakfast buffet was kept full of food and was very good. I would highly recommend a stay here.

I am beginning to lose confidence in the Marriott Elite program, as the benefits do not seem to work as they are advertised. One of the key reasons for maintaining Elite status is the possibility of room upgrades; however, during my recent stay I attempted to request an upgrade several times and the hotel declined each request. As a result, the rewards program did not function in the way it was designed or promoted. During check-in, the receptionist also seemed unfamiliar with how to properly acknowledge Elite membership or explain the benefits associated with the status. I even reached out to the Ambassador Elite service for assistance, but unfortunately they were not able to help resolve the situation. I understand that guest surveys can directly affect hotel staff, and I did not want

Nice suite hotel in quiet more upscale neighborhood. Excellent service from front desk staff. Room was clean and well kept up. |Breakfast was included which was nice. Decent variety of food. Overall excellent choice if needing a suite style hotel.

Pros: Well-managed hotel (Elizabeth Jackson, Assistant Manager) who addresses any issue promptly and with care. Very pleasant front desk staff lady (name forgotten but her daughter studies at Harvard U.). Quiet area, plenty of parking (free) and places around to get food or gas. Very spacious room with well-equipped kitchen. Windows can be slightly opened (great for morning or evening fresh air), easy access to Orlando downtown or parks nearby Cons: Tourism daily small fee, away from the city (but can be an advantage (quietness, less traffic)

The Residence in gave us everything we could possibly have asked for. From the lovely lady who checked us in on the evening of the 15th to each day we stayed. The suite we were provided had all the amenities we could ask for. The bed was comfortable, there was ample clothing storage and the kitchen was perfect for our purpose. We requested room clean service daily and we were given total housekeeping. The housekeeping manager asked several times when it would be convenient. Breakfast was ample and satisfactory. Totally happy
