Relax Inn Emporia

The room was nasty. My fiancé and I experienced and issue with roaches and bed bugs. My fiancé was bitten several times by bed bugs. Also these rooms are run down. Facets are leaking ,showers are dirty, floors look like the room hasn’t been swept, sheets looked like they hadn’t been changed, towels were dingy and microwave was dirty. And because of those the health department was informed. Hopefully someone can do something about that because people are spending hard earned money on something that low quality

Positive: location Negative: The bed frame was old and squeeked. The bath knobs and faucet were loose. the molding on entry door was broken leaving a gap in which leaves were blowing into the room - I was concerned about bugs being able to crawl in.

Please do not stay here. This place should not be in business. Drug infested nasty rooms!! Condoms outside of rooms! Litter everywhere around property! People live there which would be no problem if they were clean, NOT!! SERIOUSLY KEEP ON DRIVING!! NO AMOUNT OF DISINFECTANT CAN HELP THIS PLACE!¡!! GROSS !!!

From all our travels, This was the worst hotel ever!!!!! As soon as we open the room, it smelled horrible. It might have been a very strong deodorizer or sanitizer. It went straight to our lungs. My nose was irritated and I started coughing. My husband who has some lung issues was sick to His stomach and wants to throw up. We bought some Febreze spray and a plug in but it didn’t work. We told the owners about it, but one of them said “just open the door” All night?? She said I’m the only one complaining. She didn’t offer to check any room that might not smell like that. Also the ceiling paint in the bathroom was peeling off, no toilet paper holder, the sink looks like it’s going to fall anytime from all the layers of caulk. If there was an option to give 0 stars. Dirty rooms, ice machine broken, rude staff, refrigerator was leaking. I came down here from NY for my grandmother’s funeral. I booked this hotel and the first room was disgusting. The microwave was dirty and had rust in it, the room smelled old. I requested another room and that room was the same. I grabbed my bags and asked for a refund. This hotel needs to be shut down. I went to the Days Inn 6 minutes away and it was 100% better.
