Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Emporia I-95

I cannot believe how bad this place is. Saw bugs in room and lots of noise throughout the night. I admit I am a light sleeper but this was beyond what one should expect. Loud voices and noises in the bathroom! Breakfast in the morning was fair at best. Marriott needs to put some serious money into this place. If it’s a franchise, as it probably is then figure out how to get the owner to upgrade the place! I am finding that for about the same money, Towne Place Suites provide a much better stay! BTW, I have this place 2 stars only because the staff tries to do their best.

I booked and paid for a room on Hotels.com at Fairfield Inn. However, the Hotel billed me again for the room. I found this out a week later after reviewing my credit card. I gave them my card as a security deposit, but they stole my money instead. ||I made multiple attempts to contact the hotel and the manager NEVER calls back to help resolve this issue. ||AVOID this Hotel and stay somewhere else... ANYWHERE else... I have never experienced this before and will never stay at a Fairfield Inn again.

Positive: The hotel , the room was comfortable and clean. Hot water was plentiful and free breakfast was pipe-in hot . All night the place was QUIET !!!!!! No charge for packing Negative: Yes ! The sheets were hard. The towels and wash cloths were also hard .The view outside our window showed us piles of old rusty air conditioners that was a real eye sore .

Website states pool and hot tub are open. They are not. I asked for some sort of refund the next day due to us choosing this hotel for the pool/hot tub, was told they can not because of the management company that runs/owns them. Then they tried to sign me up for the loyalty program to just give points instead. Also woke up to the cleaning person slamming open our door at 9am on the dot (Saturday) without knocking. She did apologize which is fine, but she even admitted to not knocking. Walls are very very thin, you can hear everything. Rooms are fine to stay in overall. Front desk team was pleasant to speak with. They claimed they will connect me with management to hopefully discuss a discount. Will update review if they do.

Worst experience ever. I drove 13 hours Saturday, got to Fairfield at 10 pm. After we checked in they told us the pool was out of service, no big deal. I woke up at 6 am to go to the continental breakfast, there wasn’t much to choose from. I went back at 8 am and tried to make a Belgian waffle but the waffle iron wasn’t even turned on, I had to turn it on myself and wait for my waffle batter to be cooked enough to scrape off the iron. I woke up to a cockroach in the bathroom sink and every time we flushed the toilet the plunger got stuck so the toilet kept running until I stuck my hand in the tank to put the plunger back down. We left at 9am, housekeepers went into our room as we were leaving. We had to run back up to the room because my wife forgot her creamer for coffee in the min
