Red Roof Inn Chester

You know the place is decent, can’t really complain there. Nice and clean. I actually have a room there right now. I am beyond bothered by the fact that there’s an issue with their hot water heater and they aren’t informing customers when they are booking a room. I would have never booked a room here had I known I couldn’t take a nice warm shower in the middle of the winter. Like I honestly don’t even know what to say. I’ll be contacting red roof and seeing how the would like to proceed. I am very upset about this. I think is poor customer service and almost sneaky not to mention the fact that they have no hot water at the moment.

We have stopped at this motel several times on trips to Florida. Unfortunately, it's no longer on our list for stayovers. The staff is friendly. They do charge at check-in an additional "folio" charge of $50.00, which I was assured would come off at check-out. We'll see if it does or I will dispute it as there were no incidental charges, warranting this excessive fee beyond the agreed to room rate at check in. The outside of the motel is deplorable with piles of dog poop from customers who sadly do not pick up after their pets. We are diligent about this and found walking up to the entrance quite disgusting from the dog feces everywhere. The motel needs to either clean up outside or force their customers to through charges to their rooms for littering at the motel. The room itself was not

Positive: Location Negative: Our first room 112 didn?t have a working smoke detector. It was dismantled. The tv had no cords attached to it; did not work. The door would not shut without repeated attempts. We asked to change rooms for the second night. The 2nd room 207 was good.

Room was clean and beds were comfortable. The desk chair was broken. My husband sat down and it fell backwards. I had to catch him or he would have landed on his head. There was no nightstand between beds, so no place to put things on.Bathroom sink had almost no water pressure and no hot water. The shower was fine. The lobby was decorated very nice for Christmas even offering dog treats.

From the moment we walked in there was a very strong smell of marijuana wafting throughout the whole building the entire time. Odd for a “non smoking hotel” |Family of 4 staying and we only had one towel in the bathroom and no soap or shampoo. The lady that was working there was very nice and friendly and apologized and gave us extra towels and the soap and shampoo.|There was some kind of strange red splatter stain on the outside of the toilet that we can only hope was red nail polish, and the AC rattled all night. If you are looking for a restful nights sleep this is not really the place for you. But if you’re looking for somewhere cheap to sleep…go ahead.
