Radisson Hotel Schaumburg

The front desk was polite and wellcoming. My reservation was ready upon my arrival. The room was clean and basically furnished.The bed was with comfortable and pillows were exceptional. Room did not have a desk to work on.

Got to the Hotel and there was immediately a funky smell. The rug in front of the desk had a Nut Cracker statue trying to cover a stain. The elevator electrical panel was completely open and wires exposed. Got to our floor and there was a haze of cigarette smoke and Marijuana. I picked a non-smoking room. Got into the room and it smelled like smoke. The Fire alarm wasn't attached to the wall. There was no TV remote. The phone didn't work. The ceiling panels were yellow. Looked nothing like the pictures online. We immediately went downstairs and asked for a refund and went someplace else.

Positive: The front desk people were wonderful!! Negative: I was expecting to use pool it was closedI expected a better breakfast. The breakfast was horrible!!! Powered eggs. Over cooked potatoes that were hard. Sausage was to spicy. The breakfast was just horrible very cheap food

The room I was checked in to smelled like smoke and as I was looking around I found a half smoked blunt just sitting on the shelf in the closet. The carpet was stained and the wall was scuffed up and damaged all over the place. I wanted to just check out and find another hotel but they weren't budging on their no refund policy. I was being reimbursed by my employer so I couldn't risk not being able to get that money back. The room they put me in next was better but still not great. Brown water came out of the shower every time I turned it on. The bed was not comfortable. Both rooms on either side of mine had dogs staying in them (despite having a no pets policy) that would bark anytime somebody walked down the hall. They did not plow the parking lot after it snowed. They have slot machines

I stayed in this hotel two weeks ago for one week. It was nice, The room was clean.The staff was friendly. And I love the water pressure in the shower. My first day there the elevator wasn’t working and the front desk guy offered to carry my suitcase upstairs to the second floor. Of course I said no as my bag was very heavy but it still was nice for him to offer. The only thing I didn’t like The heater unit made too much noise even when it was off. Over all my stayed was pleasant.
