Pincushion Mountain Haus and Domes

The Pincushion Mountain Haus was the perfect place for our women’s retreat! From the moment we booked, the owners’ communication was absolutely top-notch — friendly, helpful, and responsive every step of the way. The home itself was stunning and fully furnished with everything we could possibly need. It felt cozy, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed for groups to connect and recharge. The location couldn’t have been better — close to all our favorite North Shore adventures including Blueberry Hill, Gunflint Lodge Ziplining, the town of Grand Marais, Honeymoon Bluff, Judge Magney State Park, and even a beautiful creek right on the property. We left feeling rejuvenated, inspired, and deeply grateful for this incredible space. The views of Lake Superior sunrises and even the northern light

The Sven Dome was absolutely charming! Such a neat experience to feel like you're sleeping in the tree tops. With the screened part of the dome vented we were able to listen to the river running nearby. So peaceful! The instructions/directions provided by the host were straight forward and helpful! The domes were nicely spaced from one another and the inside felt very clean. The hammock chair was a hit! We appreciated the little creature comforts- bug spray, lighters, a few books, some cards, the hot water kettle and mugs.

We had the absolute pleasure of getting to stay in the domes here ! Don't hesitate to book one of these beautiful and peaceful domes for your next north shore adventure! You'll be greeted by a comfortable and welcoming dome surrounded by a beautiful landscape! Fall asleep to the sound of the river and wake up to the soft songs of the birds ! We very much enjoyed our space and loved the river walk path on the property where we got to see deer and rabbits and a small casading creek/river. We will definitely be back in the near future!

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with the owners of Pincushion Mountain Haus & Glamping Domes while our painting company was hired to repaint their beautiful Scandinavian-style home. While my wife and I didn’t stay on the property ourselves, our painting crew did—and they had a fantastic experience. From everything we saw and heard, the home and glamping domes are incredibly well-maintained, thoughtfully designed, and surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of Grand Marais. The owners were kind, welcoming, and truly passionate about creating a memorable experience for their guests. If you're looking for a peaceful North Shore escape with style, warmth, and a personal touch, this is a place worth checking out. We would gladly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Absolutely the most charming rental house! It’s right on the Pincushion trail system, has a sauna and lovely bedrooms!
