I can’t say enough good things about this place. But I’ve been here two times in the past month and I just can’t get enough. If you want peace and quiet, stars unlike anything that you’ve ever seen before this is the place. The staff that run the resort are both kind and friendly and treat you like family. The resort is also dog friendly and welcome all friendly dogs. I really enjoyed myself and plan to come back in October. Huge shout out to Gabby, Zack, Nick, Guy and everyone else I forgot to mention. Thank you so much.
We just got back from 4 days of beautiful September weather on Trout Lake! The family that owns this resort go out of there way to make you feel comfortable and welcome. This was the 2nd time we went here but the first time that we stayed here. The fishing on the lake was fantastic took home a limit each of trout and they told us where to go catch some walleyes nearby. Which we did get some. My dog Aiko loved it there also and was able to play frisbee daily and go swimming to boot. One Happy Springer Spaniel and boy was she beat when we got home! Steve & I will be back! Oh yeah Cabin 4 was great for 2 people! Best part no Internet or cell phone service 4 days out of the loop! There 2 Huskies were awesome too! Cya next year!
Awesome resort with amazing owners! We visited briefly last summer for an afternoon boat rental and had a blast catching rainbow trout. The owners were so generous and welcoming, we knew we'd be coming back again. Booked a cabin this winter to ice fish and had a great time! Cabin was clean and cozy with ample amenities. We rented an ice house as well and were able to get on a decent lake trout bite. Owners were very helpful with fishing tips and even gave us some bait when we ran out. Overall one of the best resort experiences I've had and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable trip on the Gunflint!
I've been coming here for 30 years! Great place, great family owners! If you want a peaceful resort experience this is the place! Close to Grand Marais so you can visit then return to this beautiful lake and resort. 🥰😍
We've never had the opportunity to stay with them (we have a cabin up the trail), however we've dropped by to rent a boat or the pontoon a few times and everyone is always super nice. It's clearly a family owned operation (Guy was happy to introduce us to his great Nephew visiting!) and the fishing was a lot of fun. The fish aren't always going to bite, but today after about a dozen rainbows and even a laker, consider us happy campers. Til next time!
