White Pine Lodge

Absolutely stunning place. The lodge is gorgeous and the cabins are so nice. We stayed in the Aspen cabin. Views of the lake were beautiful. We had so much fun. The drive on the Gunflint Trail is beautiful on its own. Chris and Allison are the most gracious hosts ever. Clarence the ambassador dog is such a treat to have around. And if you can, sign up for the pizza night. Delicious homemade pizza by Allison served in the lodge by the gorgeous fireplace. And while you're there, don't forget your White Pine leather choppers, toasty warm. We signed up again to go back in the fall. Can't wait to spend some time on the Trail in the fall.

Our stay at White Pine Lodge was pure bliss! Chris and Allison are welcoming and wonderful hosts. Their thoughtfulness and conscientious attention to detail and the comfort of their guests is evident everywhere you step while you are at White Pine Lodge. The cabins are charming, and they are so cozy and comfortable! We loved our cabin!! The cabins are beautifully maintained inside and out, and impeccably clean. Things we especially loved: kayaking every day on beautiful and peaceful Poplar Lake, beautiful Adirondack chairs on every dock and around the fire pit, firewood stocked for our use right by the cabin… we had a fire every night, either a campfire or in the beautiful wood burning cabin fireplace. Poplar Lake is gorgeous and the view from the cabin was breathtaking. The lovely

Some friends and I take a yearly trip up North, and we always stay at White Pine. The cabin fits the five of us while we hang out all day, and two of us sleep in the lodge at night, while the other 3 share the cabin. Chris and Allison (owners) are very friendly, and quick to respond when a need arises. I heartily recommend you book a trip.

What a remarkable experience!!!! Love the owners and Clarence, the dog. The entire property is clean and well managed. Our cabin was so thoughtful and included little touches to make our stay very enjoyable. The lodge is fantastic! The boats, sauna and other features on site make this a real treat! Situated on the northern side of Poplar Lake, it is close to some of the best hiking trails and the lake boasts good boating, fishing, canoeing and kayaking. Idyllic sunsets, perfect amenities...Chris and Allison are amazing people who made us feel right at home. Don’t miss out on Pizza Night...its delish!!! This is one of the best lodges on the Gunflint and was such a lucky find for us on a whim! Thanks all!!!

Our stay at White Pine Lodge was a highlight over many years of visiting tnorthern Minnesota. Chris and Allison are warm and welcoming. Our lodge room was quaint, clean and cozy. The grounds of their beautiful property is so beautiful I made drawings and caught some fantastic photographs. Don' miss Allison's pizza nights. REALLY delicious pizza in the gorgeous wood great room/bar/restaurant.
