MainStay Suites Chicago Schaumburg

James did a great job and showed me around and found a good room for me. Jasmine seems really sweet, and very accommodating. Each did a great job of bringing in a new potential long-term customer. My room was surprisingly clean and everything works well... a few days into my stay here thus far, and I am very happy considering the low price point. 🍻

The front desk morning clerk, young black guy was awesome. He was amazing with his customer service, but your hotel itself was disgusting and dirty. The elevated didn’t work. The keys kept going out. I had to keep going downstairs. You couldn’t get any extra towels, each hallway going up the stairs was disgusting. Nobody had cleaned them at all. There was dirt debris from outside. It was not the cleanest visit ever it was kind of disgusting.

I was in Schaumburg for a 2 Day conference and chose to stay at a more cost effective location since I was traveling alone and really just needed a decent place to stay.Upon arrival, I was greeted and given my key cards. I drove towards the side door as it was closer to theelevator. Not the hotels fault I guess, but people were smoking in areas I know weren’t designated for smoking. The 2nd floor ***** of ***. I am grateful it wasn’t coming from my room, however: the assigned room did not smell clean at all. I did bring cleaning sprays from home just in case, the room wasn’t clean. I had to wipe the counters , desk and sink top off. They were dirty and sticky to the touch. I was going to ask for staff to come up and check the room but decided not to do that. It would get 0 stars if possible. Absolutely disgusting and ridiculous. I had to stay a month in the city for my son's medical treatments. Upon arriving the lobby was full of people watching tv and smoking pot. Says it is 100% smoke free business. There were dogs barking in all the rooms ans dog poop on the floors of the stairwell. When I entered the room my breath was taken away by the strong old cigarette smell and filth. The room was appalling. The furniture was broken and filthy. The table had graffiti engraved in it. The cook top a mess. I would never put my child in that filth. I went to the front desk and asked for a new room and showed the night clerk the pictures. No sorry, just immediately said "well youre not going to get your money back!" I said I want a new room. He huffed and

Location is close to good food options, which is convenient, but overall I would recommend staying elsewhere in the area. I experienced unexpected extra charges that were not clearly disclosed ahead of time and were not related to room incidentals, and staff interactions felt unprofessional. I’ve also heard concerning accounts about how management has spoken about guests, which made me feel uncomfortable, so it may be better to take your business elsewhere where professionalism and transparency are a priority.
