Holiday Inn Express Bloomington West by IHG

The hotel was wonderful! Definitely clean, the breakfast was nothing special but you can find enough to fill your tummy. The place definitely needs updating but all is clean, beds are VERY comfortable along with their pillow choices. We were bummed the hot tub was broke, more and more hotels are not maintaining the hot tubs and I really don’t think they know the magnitude of advertising a hot tub as an amenity and there is always a safe chance it is out of order. Also, if there is a do not disturb sign on the door and the time is before checkout, housecleaning should not knock on the door.

Front desk staff was friendly and professional! For the price, I was expecting the room to be in better condition. The AC unit had defective controls so the temperature couldn't be set. The bathroom door was damaged by previous guests; still usable, just in poor condition. Hair dryer had rust on blower grate. Again, usable, but in tired condition.

Can't say enough about this hotel. Front desk staff and owner great friendly. Clean rooms. Safe environment. Hot warm breakfast daily. Overall good staff. Combine this for the price for short stay or longer. Which we have done. Excellent bang for your dollar. Thank you and will be back again and again for many years. Bryan Edmiston and family.

This hotel is super clean. The carpets look new and the rooms are super clean. Maybe a recent remodel. They have free breakfast in the morning and the lady that's tending the area is super nice. They don't clean rooms unless you tell them which kind of sucks for the price you pay. Good value overall.

Our reservation for 35 students for an event at ISU in January was cancelled without being notified. Coordinator called to confirm in December and was told "oh we cancelled that because we don't take checks anymore". Coordinator was originally told he could pay with a check on arrival when he made the reservation in September. The hotel made no attempt to rectify the situation. Thank goodness he called to confirm everything and fortunately was able to get reservations at a different brand of hotel nearby.
