Everything was great until my children and I got home from visiting a friend at the pool area. We had a great time too. We even went up to my friend's room, which was great - and the staff at the front desk was so extremely kind and helpful. The issue was my son getting a stye and my daughter getting pool fever (a human adenovirus) from swimming there. Fever, headache, glassy red and swollen eyes, cough. We homeschool and had been nowhere else. They aren't testing their water. Please be careful and just don't go to the pool 😭 Wash immediately after (like all normal people) if you decide to go in.
My husband and I stayed here two weeks ago. Lovely foyer and the staff was so welcoming . I mentioned to housekeeping that I had a small issue with my room and when I returned it was dealt with. She explained WHY there was an issue (a problem with previous guests). Anyway she was Amazing! She even walked with me to the lobby desk to handle it. So sweet. The morning breakfast staff was so accommodating. We had a pleasant stay here AND IT IS RIGHT BEHIND CRACKER BARREL PERK!!!
Positive: "" Negative: They accused me of destroying the room which is completely false. Housekeeping manager was unbelievably rude and yelled at me on the phone! I am a Hilton honors member and stay at Hilton often and have never had an issue. Will never stay there again!
Beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable but our stay served its purpose, we wanted a warm place to stay while our power was out. I wouldn’t stay here long term. Our biggest problem was how loud our neighbors were. They stayed up super late either playing games or watching a show and then were slamming doors and yelling at 5am, idk who raised these people. So not sure if we were just unlucky or if the walls were thin. Booking online was easy
I’m writing this review as a current Hilton Gold Member. It takes work to get these levels in the Hilton honors program, so before anybody judges and thinks that being gold is not a big deal understand what it takes to get there. That being said this property does not care about Hilton rewards members. I have been between gold and diamond and one of the Perks is getting a free available upgrade. The upgrade for me would’ve been a room with snacks that upgrade was available however they wanted to charge me $25 for the upgrade. That’s not how the program works. It’s a free upgrade if available not charge you for the upgrade because it’s available. I tried explaining that and no one cared. I understand, but they wanted to charge me more than if I had just booked the upgraded room originally t
