Grand Marais Vacation Rentals

We just last week, stayed at the Lighthouse in downtown Grand Marais. We love it there! Cozy, great view of the Harbor, walking distance to everything it has all we need for a peaceful retreat. The hosts are wonderful Todd and Susan do a great job helping us feel welcome!

Year after year I return to these accommodations, having stayed in several of them and most recently always choosing The Aurora. Todd and Susan have created the ideal combination of elegance and comfort (elegance North Shore style, of course, laid back, with lots of nature). The accommodations are always welcoming and very clean, with comfortable beds, the right amenities (The Aurora has a full kitchen, almost better equipped than at home). You are in the heart of Grand Marais yet with an accommodation providing solitude . . . and magnificent views. Hiking and winter sports close by, The North House Folk School right down the street if you want crafts, and the lake, always the lake. Thanks to Susan, Todd, and Elsa, as well as the architect David Salmela. I'll be back!

Such a cute place right in the heart of Grand Marais. It was the perfect size for two adults and a large breed dog. Very clean and comfortable. Almost everything worth doing in Grand Marais is within walking distance. We can't wait to stay here again!!
