Courtyard by Marriott Mt. Laurel Cherry Hill

I arrived at the hotel after almost 16 hours of travel from Aviero, Portugal, to Newark Airport, followed by a long drive to Mount Laurel, NJ. I was operating on very little sleep. I checked into the hotel arouns 2:00 am on Friday, January 16th. I can not express how tired I was. Zia was the counter person when I checked in. He was very nice, professional, and thoughtful. Daniel was also on duty at the time. He was exhibited the same characteristics as Zia. Zia gave me a first floor room. However, after I expressed a desire for a room on a higher floor, he quickly accommodated my request. As I mentioned, I had been traveling for a very long time and was very tired. A staff makes a property worth returning to. We were greeted by professional, friendly and assisting front desk staff - really excellent, and I travel a good amount. No one in our group used the food services here so I will not comment on them. This was an overnight with 3 grandkids and spouse, two adjoining rooms with perfect configuration. I was worried that the configuration wouldn't be met - I've had that experience elsewhere but all was perfect. It seemed they did all possible to make our stay comfortable. The property does show some age but is in good quality condition. We would stay again and will recommend.

Do not stay here. They fail to disclose that the hotel is under a massive renovation, facilities are closed, some elevators not working, entrances closed and locked, etc. while they are still charging full prices for staying in a construction site. Finally, the desk staff is completely indifferent. It is very disappointing that Marriott fails to disclose the full extent of this on their website.

I am a Marriott Gold Elite member. Most of the Marriott properties in South Jersey are awful. I used to stay in the Deptford area when visiting family, but those Marriott properties were REALLY bad. So I switched to the Courtyard Mt. Laurel / Cherry Hill. I've stayed here a few times now. The rooms and decor are dated, and the elevators are very slow. What really annoys me is that they charge $10 for parking. Really? I get that they want to deter commuter parking - but then just register guest vehicles - don't charge us for parking as well. It's the best Marriott choice in an area of very bad ones.

You have to give at least one star to leave a review so I suppose that means I’m leaving one store. The rooms are OK and reasonably comfortable. The amenities are lacking, especially given that it is a Marriott and for the price that you spend per night to stay there. But the service is beyond the worst, which is really weird. The one star comes from. I would rather have not as love scale of a room and have reasonable decent customer service. They will do anything to get you to check in anything to get your money anything to make sure that they get a profit at the moment that things go wrong they completely bail they do not hold up their end of any Deal or conversation that you have and you will be left in the same situation as my aunt which is I have a manager you could speak to, however
