Candlewood Suites Windsor Locks Bradley Arpt by IHG

Positive: Easy check - in and location Negative: Not what I expected. The room had a musty smell, rug felt grimy, curtains dirty and stained. Asked about pool prior to booking and upon arrival was informed it was not opened and could not use. The stench of marijuana in the hallways .

Location is close to airport, the shuttle comes frequently (Laxfly) and is 10 minutes from the airport. The snack shop is good and the rooms have kitchenettes with Crock pots, blenders and so on available to borrow. The bed is really comfortable. Updates, modernization needed. There's a pool, good gym and laundry. It's a basic hotel. The 4th floor hall floors , elevator were dirty, smelled like smoke. The hotel just lacks that extra customer service that could make it memorable like a smile at check in or a more attentive staff. Otherwise it's a decent stop for a night.

This was almost a near perfect stay. The location was amazing being right across from the airport. My son loved being next to a bowling alley/arcade & a great ice cream place. Not sure if they put the people with dogs right next to the exit but if they do its genius because it made it super easy to take our dog outside for potty breaks. Everything was super clean and the staffed we interacted with was nice. The kitchen had everything we needed. The only area that I think they could improve, is the bed. Wasnt the worst Ive experienced but it felt alittle lumpy. If we are ever in the area again, this will 100% be the place that we stay.

Stayed here as an overnight before catching a flight. The front desk staff were so nice and took their time answering questions about parking there for the week. The room was huge(!) And unexpectedly included a kitchenette complete with plates, silverware etc. For the regular price of a room and includes all this while still being clean and safe? Yes please! Be sure to inquire about leaving your car if you are flying out of Bradley. Oh also a shuttle to and from the airport!!

Sorry for the essay, I don't usually write reviews but I am very unimpressed from my time here and I want to warn others before they stay. I came to CT to do a pageant and stayed at Candlewood Suites by the airport the first weekend of December 2025. Upon arriving Saturday night I smelled a faint weed odor in my non-smoking room. I also noticed a box shaped device called the QT storm ozone generator on the desk. I couldn't find an exact source of the smell, and since I had somewhere to go I didn't make a big fuss. I only was in the room late at night anyway since I had pageant activities all weekend during the day. I left Monday morning and got a call from management a couple hours later saying that they were going to charge me a non-refundable smoking fee ($250) because the room smelled l
