Candlewood Suites East Syracuse - Carrier Circle by IHG

We booked last minute since we did not want to drive back to Rochester after a company Christmas party. Rasheka Dennis checked us in and checked us out in the morning. She is a wonderful team member at this establishment. She recognized my IHG One rewards status, upgraded me and was all around pleasant. Thank you for all you do and keep up the great work! We enjoyed how engaging you are and you have a great personality!

This is a budget property with old bones but nice recent updates. Bathroom and full kitchen in our unit were recent and nicely done. Bedding was reasonable and bed comfortable. Newer HVAC worked well. The manager in check in and check out were both five stars.

Positive: The room upgrade gave us the extra room my family needed. It was very nice and the manager on duty that night was wonderful! Negative: Not really... there's always room for improvement but overall, it was a nice and comfortable stay.

The place was clean. Checkout is noon, a little later than most. Hotel is easy to get in/out of, lobby is staffed 24/7 and front door is simply unlocked like I prefer. It's right off the highway. My room looked like your typical big name property, nicely taken care of, except it also had a real kitchen and fridge - a huge plus. Basics like coffee are available 24/7. The price was around $100/night - very reasonable. This place is perfect if you want extended stay features, convenience, lower cost, without feeling like they sacrificed quality.

Great location very close to downtown. Rooms were clean. The only problem was there was no lotion in the bathroom and when I asked for a refill the lady told me they were all out after firsthanding me hand wash not realizing it wasn't lotion. Also the coffee pot was filthy on the inside. Nothing but dust. The service was very good. No complaints. Very accommodating when it came to the front desk employee. Love the fresh ground coffee they have and the reception area.
