Best Western Plus Richmond Airport Hotel

My friend and I picked this hotel due to budget, since we weren't staying in the room all day. The hotel didn't feel all that clean as a whole. The breaker to half of our room (including the fridge) was shut off when we checked in, and only came back on after we complained. The breakfast was ok, until the eggs tasted like something akin to cigarette smoke. Housekeeping never came by to clean the room. We requested a fresh set of towels and a refill on the soap dispenser, but did not get either until a day later within an hour of checking out. We definitely got what we paid for for going cheap, so lesson learned. But I definitely DO NOT recommend this place to anyone, even if you're on a budget.

Positive: Rooms are clean and ready when you need to check in. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Housekeeping is on the ball. Negative: Some of the rooms I have stayed in need new mattresses and the showers need new grout. There are some black mold spots in the shower tiles. Some furniture is showing wear.

A Surprisingly Delightful Stay! I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The front desk agent Chrystal was very kind, helpful, detailed, full of suggestions, and welcoming! The check-in process was quick and easy, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing me with all the information I needed for a comfortable stay. My room was clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a long day of travel and as well as my preparation to departure. Walked in this hotel feeling very deceived and not impressed. Looked so very unclean in the lobby and a mess. The elevator smelled like a person had just smoked in it and smelled like garbage. The whole floor they had us on smelled horrible and our room was horrible. Mold all over the room, this is just nasty and dangerous to people. I’m so allergic and I had my one year old with me. We walked in our room as immediately grabbed our stuff and left. Unacceptable.
