Wingate by Wyndham Canton/Hall of Fame

I booked an 8-night stay at Wingate by Wyndham Canton/Hall of Fame through Hotels.com and was immediately confronted with conditions that are not only unacceptable but potentially hazardous to guest health and safety. Upon entering the room, I observed an open ceiling access panel with exposed insulation and structural components visible. Debris and what appears to be contaminated material was present on the floor. The condition of the property suggests possible rodent activity, creating a serious concern for sanitation, airborne contaminants, and biohazard exposure. Additionally, there was visible damage to interior surfaces and bathroom fixtures, further indicating a lack of maintenance and inspection. These conditions raise legitimate concerns regarding: Breach of the implied warrant

Positive: That the doors had locks. Beds were clean and comfortable. Negative: No lights in parking lot. Dirty floors, tubs, toilet. Hole around light fixtures in bathroom. Found bug in refrigerator and on wall. Bathroom doorway was not easily accessible. Toilet top had been used to cut drugs. Cigarette burns on tub.

I booked two rooms at the Wingate by Wyndham in Canton, Ohio on October 10 through the 13th. I have stayed at Wyndham hotels before, but I’ve never been so disappointed in a hotel. We arrived around noon and the gentleman at the front desk said it would be $10 per hour if we wanted in before 3. The bathrooms had black mold on the ceilings and it didn’t look like they had been cleaned. There is a peep hole on the entry door that was broken and instead of fixing this there was tissue shoved into it. They had a decorative covering on the comforter and when I removed that on the last night there was a nasty stain that I hadn’t seen before. The entire hotel looked shabby and not what I expected from Wyndham.

Stayed two nights at the Ramada in Canton, OH. The room was not properly cleaned — I had to clean the shower myself. I was charged two $50 deposits and additional “smoking cleaning” fees even though I never smoked in the rooms. These extra charges overdrew my bank account. Guests, be careful with deposits and surprise fees here. I’ve also reported this to Wyndham corporate for review, as these charges and cleanliness issues need their attention.

The most disgusting Hotel room I have EVER seen. We asked for a new room because it smelled like weed. Then the new room had bed bug stains on the sheets and mold growing in the shower ceilings with the drywall falling off the walls. We literally walked in, looked around, and left to stay at the Holiday Inn down the road. DO NOT SAY HERE EVER!!!!! EVER!!!! So gross! The only good thing was the lady at the front desk didn't make me feel bad about leaving right away, she was decently civil about it and I think she new it was terrible and didn't blame me for wanting to leave. The location is super convenient but stay at the Holiday Inn or the Hyatt down the road. Much Much better.
