Holiday Inn Canton (Belden Village) by IHG

We had an extremely disappointing experience. Our room was not ready until 3½ hours after the posted check-in time, despite multiple check-ins with the front desk. We were in town specifically for a breast cancer fundraiser, and had planned our schedule around being able to get ready in our room. Instead, we waited in the lobby for hours with little communication and no real sense of urgency. As time ran out, we were forced to get dressed and ready in the lobby bathroom — stressful, embarrassing, and completely unacceptable considering we had paid for a room that should have been available at check-in. What made the situation worse was the response from the front desk. Rather than taking ownership, they repeatedly blamed housekeeping. Guests shouldn’t be hearing internal excuses or watchin

We spent 2 nights here so that we could see the Pro Football Hall of Fame. We chose the hotel since it was one of the more affordable mid range options in the area. Hotel appears to be an older Holiday Inn but we found it to be well maintained and clean. Staff very polite and accommodating. Overall the King bed room was nice.....comfortable firm mattress, firm sofa, large flat screen tv, microwave, fridge, overall plenty of space for a couple. There were a couple of issues with the room...wallpaper loose in a few spots and clearly needs to be replaced...very small bathroom....the heating/ac unit juts out from the wall and is located next to the bed, so if you are sleeping on that side of the bed you have to be careful when getting up to go to the bathroom otherwise you might bump into

Front desk staff was great, especially upon check-in. All other staff were friendly except for the bar/restaurant staff. They weren't mean, but just not friendly. Like we were bothering them to be there. There was no drink menu, and the waitress didn't know what drinks were available. She had to ask someone else. Ordered a long Island Iced Tea ... not sure what we got, but it was not a long island. They did take that off out bill since it wasn't very good. Overall, good place to stay as long as you aren't planning on spending a lot of time in the bar! Part of the reason we stay there is because of the restaurant/bar across the street.

This is my 1st stay here. I can relate both good and bad experiences here. My room had no hot water. I tried different times of the day...for example 9-10pm, anywhere between 4-6AM. Nothing consistent. I asked if I could have a room changed but they were booked the entire week. Lukewarm water at best by the way...2nd the bartender didn't put my order in for 45 minutes. It was only when I seen customers being served food before me that I said something.and she blamed it on the new cook. Next morning I spoke with manager and cook and they gave me a certificate for a free meal. No other complaints. Otherwise great stay.

The only reason this review is getting 3 stars is because the staff are very nice, warm and welcoming. It also had a decent location for what I needed. The gym was a decent size with 3 treadmills, elliptical and some free weights. The rooms are old and not well maintained. The wallpaper was peeling in every room and there there was basically no decor. The bathroom was the worst. Bad lighting, mold in the shower, ceiling peeling, sink drained very slowly, shower head was disgusting, shower leaked everywhere after a 2 minute shower. I had to use multiple towels to mop up the water. I got a king bed suite and there was not one full length mirror in the whole place.
