Lakeside Garden Weddings at Whiteface Club & Resort Are Pure Magic. As a wedding photographer, I’m always paying attention to how a location feels and not just how it looks. The gardens at Whiteface Club and Resort, overlooking Lake Placid, is one of those rare ceremony spots that feels effortlessly stunning. It’s quiet, intimate, and stunning in its simplicity — a perfectly framed view of the water and mountains, surrounded by lush florals and mountain air. From a photography standpoint, the light here is beautiful reflecting off the lake. Soft, natural, and filtered just enough by the surrounding trees to give every image a sense of depth and calm. There’s space for guests to take in the moment without distraction, and for couples to feel fully present, which is everything. If you're dre

I had my wedding here on June 16th, 2013. The Club itself is gorgeous and the staff are excellent. We did not stay at the condos, so I cannot say anything to those. The staff worked well with us on our budget and found prices/packages that fit. Unfortunately, we had to resort to the "rainy day" option for our wedding - Wedding Ceremony in the Moose Lodge Boathouse. The Boathouse is beautiful and rustic, complete with stone fireplace and wood interior. The reception was located in the Clubhouse. More than enough room for our guests and a huge dance floor. The decor is perfect and we barely needed any extras. If you are looking for an "Adirondack-style" wedding - this place is perfect. The food at the reception was amazing. We had passed and table style hors d'oeuvres both very de

The Whiteface Club in Lake Placid has truly become one of the standout vacation destinations in the Adirondacks. From the moment you arrive, it’s clear how much pride the staff take in making sure every guest has a world-class experience. The golf course is a gem—Perry, the golf pro, along with the entire maintenance crew, run it with such care and attention. Whether you’re a member of 20 years or playing for the very first time, you feel welcomed and looked after. It’s a fun and challenging mountain course that always delivers a memorable round. The wedding venue is nothing short of unrivaled. There’s simply no other place where you can exchange vows on the water with Whiteface Mountain as your backdrop, then step straight into a classic wooden boat with your new spouse, champagne in ha

Golf course in excellent condition from tee to green. Narrow and short course. Lots of trees. Many short par 4s...you can mostly leave your driver in the bag. Enjoyed the course. Probably best golf in the area. Restaurant was top notch also. Would definitely return.

This is golf course only review. The golf course is very, very good - definitely the best in Lake Placid. Unlike the other courses in the area, WF is well-irrigated and lush whereas most other courses rely on rainfall for the fairways and only water their greens and tees. The WF course isn't particularly long, but a lot of it is target golf. Lot's of doglegs. The traps aren't great, but that seems to be the case across the Lake Placid region. The pro and everyone we met were very accommodating. We enjoyed the club immensely ... gets less traffic than the other courses due to the price I suspect.
