Hampton Inn & Suites Lake Placid

Took a weekend trip up to Lake Placid with the family and we stayed at this hotel. Great accommodations and even better staff…. I recklessly left behind a Irish Hanna Cap that I purchased in the town, and was called by the general manager, Oziel, telling me that the housekeeping manager, Gustavo, had it in there possession and will ship it to me promptly. Don’t hesitate to book with the Hampton inn & suites at Lake Placid. You will not be disappointed! Thank you Oziel, Gustavo and Staff!!!

We intentionally booked a room with a lake view and a balcony/patio to enjoy the beautiful views of the lake and we were not disappointed. The room had updated furnishings, was clean and the bed comfortable. The lobby area is designed like a great lodge with rustic beams and posts and high ceilings. Coffee and tea are always available in the lobby and if you are lucky, cookies in the afternoon. There is a full bar in the common area as well, which is not normal for a Hampton Inn, but very welcomed. ||The front of the hotel was under a bit of construction while we were there so unfortunately the fire pit was not operational and parking became a bit of a headache at times as the parking lot had some construction going on as well. Neither of these events took away from our experience.

Very friendly staff from that start. Breakfast at Hampton Inns is always a feature and this one did not disappoint! Clean, well stocked. The room was spacious- we got a king suite- very clean and well stocked. Amazing location, we walked to the Main Street area. Also go to Origins Coffee!!

Positive: The great room, free breakfast, friendly staff, proximity to downtown Lake Placid and all of the attractions. We were able to walk everywhere. Negative: We stayed here in March and loved the gym. Even bought one of the same treadmills when we got home! This year, it was incredibly hot. Probably mid-70’s. I thought I was going to pass out on the treadmill. Maintenance was unable to repair.

We were three friends traveling together with a budget of 200 dollars per night. On some nights we had to go above that limit but the Hampton Inn in Lake Placid was the best value and the best hotel overall among all the places we stayed. Everything was excellent: the room was comfortable, the beds were great, the bathroom was clean, the pool and the jacuzzi were enjoyable, and the service from every staff member was warm and welcoming. The views were beautiful, the breakfast was satisfying, and the lobby felt inviting the moment we entered. A truly wonderful stay. Highly recommended.
