Eastwind Hotel - Lake Placid

The location was out of the main town of Lake Placid. The room was NOT clean ( dust and trash under bed). There was no one in office when we arrived at 4 pm. There was no ice at all. The pool was “ not useable”. They said it didn’t pass inspection. The cost for this shabby cabin was way too high. Would not recommend

Had an excellent weekend stay here while in town for some Nordic skiing. We stayed in room 9 - a king suite. The room and the hotel was nicely decorated & designed - we loved the style! Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location is quiet - about 5 mins from the town center (which is quite busy) - and the hotel was quiet and peaceful. We had a nice view over a stream and meadow, enjoyed the gas fireplace, and had plenty of room to stretch out. The bed was nice - we slept great. We tried 2 breakfast spots nearby - Capisce and Origin Coffee - both were nice. Tons of local lunch and dinner options. We would definitely return and are considering trying one of the other Eastwind hotels in NY. I think as well next time we may try one of the free-standing cabins (lushnas). We also

My mom and I came to Lake Placid for a little winter getaway and the Eastwind Hotel really made this trip awesome! Location was great, right down the road from Main Street and the room was clean. We booked the 2 queen room and it was huge! Plenty of room for my mom and I. On top of that there was a roaring fireplace with huge windows looking out over the wintery landscape making it super cozy. The breakfast basket was delicious and so much food! They brought it right to our door and we ate it in bed in front of the fire. We felt secluded but the staff was super easy to get ahold of and very nice. It was the perfect getaway and I highly recommend staying here!

I have stayed at Eastwind Lake Placid countless times and it is always an enjoyable experience. The rooms are well decorated - bright and airy. The picnic basket breakfast for two is always delicious with freshly made baked goods and hot tea or coffee. The staff are friendly and accommodating! It also feels quite private and is perfectly located, just right outside from downtown lake placid so everything is within walking distance.
