Lake Placid Inn: Main Street

The hotel’s location is ideal for everything Lake Placid has to offer. The windows face the Olympic Center, the skating oval is a five mini walk away, the ski barn for renting all the snowboard/ski gear is across the parking lot. Easy walk to Mirror Lake for cross-country skiing and dog sled rides. Walking distance to all the Main Street attractions and less than a mile to the nearest pharmacy/supermarket.||The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. All the furniture is new as is the heating system with separate heaters for the different rooms. ||We rented a 2-bedroom apartment and it was a perfect size for a family of 4. The pull-out sofa mattress was very comfortable and the full-size kitchen was fully stocked with everything you might need. We especially appreciated the bathtub.||The st

Stayed here for a hockey tournament and the location and room couldn't have been better. Rooms are spacious, kitchen has 99% everything you need...no pans for the oven but wasn't an issue for us. Free laundry but need to bring own detergent but a big plus. I didn't opt for housekeeping so had to remove own trash. Highly recommend this place.

Best value by far. We stayed on main st. Check in at “main hotel” was 3 blocks (6 min walk/1 min drive) and no issues. Toboggan across frozen mirror lake at back door (100 steps). Subway for whiteface snacks downstairs along w a small brewery. Olympic stadium literally across road. No neighbor noise. Bedroom, full kitchen and pull out couch. Perfect for 2A+2K family. Walk to all of main in 5 mins in any direction. New construction and finishes. Cunningham ski rentals next door (bonus). Best price and value in the town.

I really enjoyed the spacious room, the modern, clean bathroom, and the functional kitchen. The location is also very convenient. However, it gets quite noisy at night—sounds from upstairs, neighboring units, and the street carry through easily. You can hear everything from people talking, chairs moving, walking, and doors opening and closing. Some extra insulation in the walls would make a big difference. Aside from the noise, the beds are comfortable and everything else is great.

The location cannot be beat and the rooms are a perfect size for a family stay. The mattress in the pull out sofa was high quality. We especially appreciated the view of the Olympic Center, tho bathtub in the 2-bedroom suite and the fully stocked kitchen. Definitely booking here again next time we are in Lake Placid.
