TownePlace Suites by Marriott Syracuse Liverpool

I booked a 3 night stay and was immediately told at check in to not expect any housekeeping for a three night stay. I asked if they would come in with fresh towels and was told no. The room was filthy. I had to run to the store and buy cleaning supplies and clean it myself. There was hair in the bathroom sink and drawers, and beard trimmings in the drawers - absolutely gross and a sign of a lazy housekeeper. I had to ask the front desk to bring us a roll of toilet paper as we were only left with less than half a roll. The floor was not vacuumed and there was dog hair on the stove. The couch arms were also shredded - most likely animal damage. The sink was very dirty and there was a heavy layer of dust on the refrigerator and counters. I would not even think of cooking in there!

Visited the hotel for our family reunion. Have visited in the past. Starting with the good. Cindy was the best. We were going to arrive a day early. Cindy was very helpful and ensured the we could adjust our reservation and arrive a day early and keep the same room. Very happy with Cindy and her ability to assist. The breakfasts were good, clean and well stocked. Now for the not so good. We were told room service would take place after 3 days. After our 4th evening we asked room services when our room would be done. They informed us we were on the list for the following day. We were given two towels. Next day, no room service. We again asked room service staff when our room would be serviced. They said they do the rooms once a week. Maybe a lack of communication. We did get fresh towels la

Terrible stay. We moved rooms 3 times. First time the room was dirty and smelled horrible, second time was because the renovation crew that is staying on the 1st floor decided to have a room party on the 3rd floor and room above us. The front desk people didn't feel safe or comfortable asking the crew to be quiet so she moved us. It was a very weird situation, they stated that there were several men and none of them spoke english. We checked in a 3pm and very loud noises from when we checked in until when we moved rooms 10pm. Almost sounded like jumping and we could heat their music playing. The 3rd room was just okay - we couldn't tell if it was renovated already but it was dirty and uncomfortable. The hotel is nice &; they are currently remodeling, so should be even better, soon. My room seemed to be missing a chair... big open spot where most have seating. No big deal. What did bother me, was they don't shovel their sidewalks. I ended up having to drag my briefcase & suitcase to and from the car in the snow. They were never shoveled during the two+ days I was there. I even went back in to make sure they had a shovel and they do. That was rallying annoying. In addition to being a nuisance, I would think it creates a legal liability for them if someone were to fall in there snow & ice. Let me know if you fall & need pictures for your lawyer!

Overall great. Room service does not follow the Monday only cleaning but did a great jump cleaning. We being worked on but was not bad.
