TownePlace Suites by Marriott Richmond Colonial Heights

Stayed for one night and felt this was a great place for a break off 95. The rooms were spacious and clean. It was also very quiet. The full service kitchenette with a larger fridge and freezer was really nice to have. We checked out before breakfast started but since it was already set up the front desk was kind enough to let us grab a few things for the road. I also appreciated my request for a high floor room being accommodated. 3 minor items that fell a bit short, first, the $10 parking fee. With the location not being in a downtown area, I was a bit surprised. Second, the water pressure in the shower was lacking. And third, there was a very fishy/gross smell outside the property from what I’m guessing was the retaining pond. The inside of the property smelled completely fine, but sit

Front deck people friendly but dirty shower. You could see the mold. If we weren’t so tired I would ask for a new room. Wish I would have read the reviews before we booked. Clearly a problem with cleanliness. Not what I would expect from Marriott.

My family of 3 chose to take refuge here during an ice storm. We were thoroughly impressed during our 4 day stay. Check in and out was super quick and easy. The hotel is in a very convenient location as it is near a mall, Walmart and several eateries. The hotel check all of the boxes for an amazing stay. It is modern, very clean, staff was friendly, and had nice amenities like a fitness room and guest laundry. There was a very nice variety every morning for breakfast. Breakfast was always hot and delicious. We were on the 5th floor. Our room was quiet, comfortable, and spacious. It was like a tiny apartment. My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The customer service was unacceptable. The staff were rude, unprofessional, and spoke to guests with a dismissive and disrespectful tone. At no point did I feel welcomed or valued as a guest. Communication was poor, and any request or concern was met with attitude instead of assistance. It felt like basic hospitality standards were completely ignored. Staff members acted irritated when asked simple questions, and there was no effort made to resolve issues in a respectful manner. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and respectful stay. There are many other options that treat their guests with basic courtesy and professionalism.

Horrible experience, I paid for my room and they put another name without my consent. I forgot key once and I couldn't get another key because the name of my room wasn't there. I couldn't get my phone register with the key because manager denied to change it even when they knew it was my room and my card was getting charge for it. Internet wasn't able for me because the room name issue. They didn't want to clean my room and it took them 2 weeks to get a room service. I got discriminated and the room I got was falling in pieces. I told them so they could change my room but they denied. It looked it was straight discrimination, fraud because somebody was fighting for my member benefits even when I was paying for the room, and trust considece issue matter because I never give consent for them
