Hampton Inn Petersburg-Southpark Mall

If this was a stop on your trip to get some sleep I WOULD NOT come here. My husband, me and my daughter came in around 3am after being on the road for 16 hours. We were all tired and I had a grumpy baby. The guy told me at the desk it would be 155 for the night I was a little took a back because I was staying at a cute luxury inn at 140 a night. We were tired and just caved in and paid. Then I seen my card get charged 195 bucks “because of fees” we brushed it off and came to our room immediately getting to the room it STANK the hallways the room ect. We go to lock the door and well the deadlock? Broken. The room was humid. Then we started to notice bugs. We wanted to watch tv it kept cutting in and out, so we gave up on that. I always stay at Hampton Inn, and this location is part of Hilton and honored my rewards, which I really appreciated. The hotel is set away from heavy traffic, so it was nice and quiet during my stay. The parking lot and the foyer were both very clean and well maintained.I booked a king room on the sixth floor, and the room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. I had a good night’s sleep and felt very relaxed the next morning. The hotel is conveniently close to shopping areas, restaurants, and especially to Fort Lee, which made getting around very easy. Overall, this was a pleasant stay and I plan to stay at this property again when I visit the area. Thank you Miriam for your welcoming and kindness.

Positive: "" Negative: They have a pool which I confirmed before booking, but right after I went back n to check in, the lady says oh we cleaning the pool so it b closed til tomorrow. Also my room was infested with ants.

Quick stop in Petersburg - Southpark Mall area. Was able to walk to dinner last night. Nice walking path behind the hotel is great when weather is nice. Exercise room is good for those weather days not so good. Didn’t take advantage of the pool but good to know it’s there for next time. Room was spacious and comfortable.

The water pressure was the worst of any hotel room in which I have ever stayed. The room was clean and pleasant otherwise. They make it clear they do not clean the rooms or make up the beds on a daily basis. That was disappointing immediately. We told them about a lamp in the room had a faulty fixture. This was never fixed the entire time as stayed there. The lady up front told us the facilities people are lazy and typically do this. The continental breakfast was cold. I thought this was a one-time thing. It was like this 2 days in a row. We did not eat thY crap again. We won't be staying at a Hampton hotel ever again. Very disappointing.
