The Bay Inn

The inn possesses a retro charm. The room was clean, comfortable, and secure. Due to its robust construction, it's very quiet inside the room. I enjoyed some time out in the well-kept courtyard. It is perfect for reading, writing, or just relaxing. The management was very accommodating and friendly. The amenities were perfect for my needs, including a small fridge, a microwave, and a coffee/tea pot. The beach and many restaurants are within a short distance.

I do recommend the Bay Inn. I stayed there for like 2 weeks doing training for the navy. To start, the manager is very attentive and kind, and I could easily find him at the front desk at anytime. He will answer to any of your needs. But you shouldn't need much help because the rooms are well furnished, clean and free from bugs, smoke or foul odor, and adequately air conditioned and lighted. I didn't hear too much noise, everyone kind of kept to themselves. The hotel is kind of in a bad area (I'm not a fan of the strip malls and homeless nearby although it has very good public beach access and I did get groceries and do my laundry that same strip mall there is no laundry on site) but there are only two entrances to the inner courtyard where the rooms are, one by the front desk where the at

I recently stayed at The Bay Inn and was thoroughly impressed. The room was quaint, exuding a cozy charm that made me feel right at home. The cute courtyard added a delightful touch to the experience—perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or winding down in the evening.The location was unbeatable, putting me within easy reach of everything I wanted to explore. Best of all, it offered terrific value, making it a top choice for anyone looking for quality without breaking the bank. Highly recommend!

Amazing little mom and pop inn right near the beach. Couldn't ask for better management! Staff was amazing and made me feel like I was at home. This is me definite "to stay" place when I'm in Norfolk!

Considered booking for a few nights so called to ask a simple question about the room temp controls, as I've had several occasions of booking rooms where the heat simply wasn't adequate enough at different hotels. Guy at the front desk that picked up the phone, after reading other reviews I'm assuming he's the manager, was quite obnoxious for no reason whatsoever. Truly blows me away that any business would want this lunatic anywhere around actual people. Much less, paying customers, which I will never be..
