⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Professional, Clean, and Exceptionally Well-Managed After an extremely disappointing experience at another nearby hotel, we arrived at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Norfolk Airport by IHG, and the difference was immediate and impressive. From check-in to check-out, the property demonstrated a strong commitment to cleanliness, professionalism, and guest satisfaction. The hotel was well-maintained, fresh-smelling, and orderly, and our room was spotless, comfortable, and quiet, allowing us to finally relax after a stressful evening. I would like to specifically recognize Jamel, who assisted us upon arrival. He was professional, courteous, and efficient, and handled our check-in with genuine care and attention. The hotel did everything I was looking for. Check in was easy and fast with a competent gentleman at the front desk. The room was actually 2 rooms, with both a bedroom and a separate sitting/ work area in the front , both with large screen TVs and the latter with a couch and good sized chair as well as a desk.|The bathroom was clean with a large shower.| Most importantly,the HVAC worked well and was very quiet-no loud machinery sounds each time it turned on .| The hotel was relatively full but our hallway was quiet. Even though we were close to the elevator we did not hear it in our room.|Convenient to many restaurants, both national chain and local independents.| Only drawback- no shuttle service provided to the airport (an 8 minute drive)|Would definitely stay there again if in area.

Positive: The staff were very professional and kind. Hotel employee was very helpful. The hotel main public spaces were very clean- hallways and elevators. Room was recently renovated so it was very clean, with the exception of an arm chair and a spot on carpet. Negative: Arm chair rm 323 heavily soiled on all arm/back surfaces. No way I'd sit in it. A very large red stain on carpet, like spilled red soda or a slurpee. Stairwell floor, railings, door handles needed cleaning- same dirty on them for the 5 days I was there.

They cut corners in every way possible. I can't imagine all the issues we didn't find but here's a list of the ones we did experience: 1. At 2am an incessant alarm started beeping from the AC system. It woke everyone up. It was reported to the front desk and they said, rest assured its for the filter in the AC. You can just ignore it and we'll fix it when you leave... so dirty air and noise all night. 2. Phone is broken, so couldn't call front desk, had to walk there at 2am. 3. The pull out mattress was disgustingly dirty. Extremely worn and uncomfortable, and they didn't have the extra sheets and blankets for it. 4. There was a smell in the room that smelled like gas, carbon monoxide. 5. Breakfast was subpar at best. 6. Referidgerator was leaking. There were a few other things... point be

The front desk person Jamal is so polite. He welcomed me with a big smile and was very polite and happy to help with anything. I absolutely love coming to places where the first person you meet is friendly happy to help and welcomes you with a smile! Let's get Jamal to be the face and the expectation of every Holiday Inn in America!! I have zero complaints and I can't stop smiling because of how he welcomed me! That's just the welcome. The room is so clean and nice. I got the top floor with an amazing view of the setting sun. Seriously I can't stop being so impressed with this hotel and cleaning staff and welcoming staff!Thank you my friend and God bless!!
