Hilton Norfolk The Main

My family and I were just off a cruise in Norfolk and wanted some good seafood. We sat at the oyster bar. James was awesome and made us feel right at home. The food was amazing. Calamari, clam chowder, hush puppies. Perfection!

Normally I would not pay nearly $400 for a hotel room, but it was convenient to our appointment.  The room was nice, but not clean.  There was a used facial cotton on the floor behind the trash can, a small wad of hair clinging to the wall by the mirror, and crumbs on the carpet by one of the windows.  We paid for breakfast with our room rate and it was ok.  Good variety, but the only thing I would say that made it above average was the variety of fresh fruit.  The coffee was awful.  We had dinner in Saltine and it was good.

The stay was lovely but the real star is Saltine! James was our oyster man and was absolutely amazing! We didn't even want to try any other restaurants in the area after having the oysters and shrimp for happy hour.

Our New Year’s stay at the Hilton Hotels was an excellent experience from start to finish. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere and attentive, professional staff. Everything felt smooth, organized, and upscale and just perfect for ringing in the New Year.||A special highlight of the evening was James, who provided outstanding service as the raw oyster tender. He was professional, knowledgeable, and engaging, adding an elevated touch to the celebration. Great location and staff. 3 great resteraunts inside. Grain was my favorite of the 3, but thats because I'm a burger and beer kind of guy. Overnight parking was at a good rate. A good amount of company gatherings took place here weekly. Good ce tral walkable location as well. Few blocks from tourist activities, theater, resteraunts, and shopping.
