I'm not even sure how his hotel wound up under the Marriott trademark. We purchased a two queen suite and we barely had room to pass on another. It was small. The carpet and couch was very dated and stained. The beds were comfortable but the mattresses were stained. The iron leaked. The closet door was broken. The television worked occasionally. The free breakfast was decent. Parking lot across the street was $13, which isn't bad. The employees were pleasant and very professional but I would not recommend staying at this location unless you have to. Perhaps, I just expected more from the Marriott brand. This place reminded me more of a motel 8.
Recently spent weekend , location was convenient. However I was surprised that the parking was an extra charge. Breakfast was good on Saturday however Sunday there was no coffee or juice. And the restaurant left much to be desired.
Room was very dated. Shower curtain was yellow from where it brushed across the toilet since the curtain rod was partially broken. Hair in the tub and on shower walls. Even on the 5th floor, the noise from Hampton Blvd was terrible all night - drag racing/motorcycles, sirens, etc. Do not recommend.
Positive: Close to public transportation, clean, spacious, excellent hot breakfasts, quiet. did not mind the furniture..alot of places to eat and convenience store within walking distance Negative: when I asked for a comb. I was told there was NOt one available..also no sliced bread at breakfast..i do NOt care for bagels..
I have been a Marriott member for years, and I wanted to make sure that my family and I would have a comfortable stay during our trip to Norfolk, Virginia, so I sought out the Marriott brand. I booked a one night stay at this hotel because of the close proximity to our destination. ||I booked the reservations one week in advance. We were scheduled to arrive in Virginia around 1 pm, so I requested an early check-in. I also checked-in via the app the night before our trip. ||There was a slight delay on our day of travel, so we didn’t arrive at the hotel until 2 pm. Upon arrival, I went to the front desk to see if we would be able to check in early as previously requested, but I was told that the room was not yet ready. The front desk representative did a pre-check in and said she would call
