Super 8 by Wyndham Liverpool/Clay/Syracuse Area

The room was unclean. Ripped bedding, strong chemical smell, poop in the toilet. Requesting a different room was for some reason difficult for the front desk staff to accommodate, and he did not know how to issue a refund. This led to a runaround in an attempt to get a manager. The front desk staff was texting the manager but we never got to speak to them. We left with a written confirmation that a manager would contact us. No refund was issued. Consider this hotel at your own risk.

If you’re looking for the worse customer service ever this is your place. All 4 staff persons that I try to talk to were the same. No Welcome/Hello when checking in and not ONE word checking out even after asking for a receipt which seems to be a bother. Breakfast is coffee and a package danish. Hotel has improved a bit since my last visit but still needs more work. They couldn’t find a toilet paper holder during my 3 nights stay this time. During my past stay I was handed a plunger to unplug my drain in my room. No management on site that I could see. Sorry for the bad review but there are many other places to stay.....and bring your own pillows unless you like rocks.

Positive: Location Negative: No real anything for light breakfast. Coffee juice not kept up. A nasty honey bun and they call that breakfast Don't advertise a breakfast of any kind unless they are gonna give you one. Also got surprised with 50 dollar extra fee for incidentals.

This was by far the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had at a Super 8. When we arrived, there was no one at the front desk, and we had to wait over 20 minutes just to check in. When someone finally showed up, they checked us into the wrong room , a single bed instead of the double bed room we booked. After that, we were moved to a double-bed room that was filthy. There was mold in the bathroom, mold inside the refrigerator, and a strong, unpleasant odor throughout the room. The beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom was disgusting, and everything felt unclean. To make matters worse, the staff were completely untrained and lacked basic customer service skills. This place is awful!! Beware - stay at your own risk! There are so many safety issues and was it is very dirty and smelled like smoke everywhere. There are no working elevators at all here to get to the 2nd floor. The door in the back is propped open all the time per a person who "lives" here (major safety issue). The door had the chain wrapped in duck tape over the door to keep it open so the workers can smoke, ect as the workers all live here. We did close the door and reported it to the front desk, but it was just propped open less than an hour later. The place smelled so bad.
