Spark by Hilton Duluth

Don’t be fooled by the Hilton name. We were in town visiting for a dance comp and looking for an affordable option. Stayed at Tru the year prior, which was basic but great. Decided to try speak as it’s also Hilton and we will not be coming back. The entire place smells old and musty, they painted up whatever hotel this was before but it still stinks. The bathroom was aged and overall just not very clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable so that is a plus. Also, the first floor was VERY loud. We were in in the 140s which is near the back entrance and not only did we hear the door opening all night, but it’s next to the laundry room and the dryers did loud thuds until past midnight. Breakfast was hardly breakfast. We ended up at McDonald’s.

Spark is a budget brand of the Hilton family of hotels. The room we got was Spartan but clean. Storage space, like drawers, is somewhat limited, but the rooms are large enough for the cost. The bed was very comfortable and the room has a refrigerator and microwave. The staff was very helpful. With the cost of a decent hotel room these days, the Spark is a good value.

Newly remodeled (and re branded) hotel with easy access to highway and many food/shopping places. Nice clean rooms! Everything was NEW. Big bathroom. Nice shower. Only complaint was internet was out the night we were there which meant no TV channels would work. Long long hallways to get to your room. Amazing room for the price ($73 + tax)!!

This place is awful. DO NOT STAY HERE! Don't be fooled by the fresh coat of paint on the outside. There are plenty of other hotels in the area with rooms at similar pricepoints that are clean and have friendly and courteous staff. The inside is gross! We checked in on the app and when we got to the room it was DISGUSTING! We left right away and stayed at a different hotel about a mile away. The front desk was no help and the manager was nowhere to be found. I received a txt from someone at the hotel and was told the manager would have to approve the refund when they came in on Monday. I have called multiple times over the last 3 weeks. Each time I'm told the manager is not there and I have yet to be refunded. Hilton needs to remove this place from it's inventory or do a complete renovati

quick stay for a night for business travel. sound proof need to improve.
