Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta NE/Duluth Sugarloaf

It's a good location for Gas South events. The parking fee is ridiculous. The room was standard and clean, but the hotel was overpriced for the lack of amenities. Their is no complimentary breakfast or even coffee (there is a coffee maker in your room, but if housekeeping doesn't come in, it doesn't get replenished). We had a conference, and the breakfast was fine (bagels, yogurt cups and fruit cups), but the boxed lunch was a cold microwaved burger on a bun with cold french fries. they had a tray with toppings and the cheese was dried, over=ripe sliced tomatoes. There was a winter weather event (snow), and they ended up closing the onsite restaurant, or so we were told... We went down to get our door dash and it was open-a staff member was able to come in. From the moment we stepped foot into this hotel until the moment we left everything was perfect! We were not expecting higher end accommodations for a budget price!! The hotel is very clean, the beds and pillows were very comfortable! The staff goes above and beyond and are so very sweet and kind! The bistro ladies were wonderful and we enjoyed cocktails by the fire in the evening and Starbucks coffee in the morning! Their flat breads were very tasty as well as their muffins in the morning. The pool was very clean as well as the fitness room. The views were great and it was located a mile or so from a huge mall and 1/2 mile from a Krogers! We will absolutely be back!!

The hotel is relatively new, but it's got some problems. I didn't enjoy paying $10 a day to park in the hotel surface lot. I didn’t enjoy the weirdly low water level of the toilet. I didn’t enjoy the warm (never hot) shower, and absolutely HATED the bed, which was far too hard. Would not stay again and do not recommend. A real dud.

Usually love to stay at Courtyard, not this one. This one needs help. Planned stay to enjoy evening after a concert. Tested bed and it was amazingly old and lumpy. Lacked firmness for the msot part except for the lumps. Reminded me of a water bed with waves of shifting support. Decided to just head out. A choice of course but the night manager seemed not to care. Expressed surprise and said had not heard of the problem (probably never checked quality of rooms) but no apology or offer of a new room or even a minor discount. Also parking is via an app, (so yet another service to send credit card and other info to) not room charge which defeats the advantage of charging things to room as a Bonvoy member. The kitchen staff were unhelpful and did not want to make anything to do with eggs except scrambled eggs. This happened two days in a row. First day, they said no when asked about sunny side eggs. Second day, after ordering over easy eggs with breakfast potatoes, they simply gave scrambled eggs with pieces of bread. Bad experience for a star bucks
