City Express by Marriott Duluth

I stayed here in June 2025 for 3 nights, while I was attending a conference. This brand is new and was a little apprehensive about it. |I was very pleased with the cleanliness and amenities in room, having both a fridge and microwave is important for a several night stay. My bed was very comfortable. Wifi worked very well. |Breakfast offerings were good, they had eggs, one meat(changed every day) Danishes, different breads, etc. Seating area was very nice. |They have a little store by front desk, which makes it nice to get some things, between drink snacks, and toiletries. |My only complaint was that the pool was unavailable some kids had broken something, and it was unavailable. We had the option of going to the hotel next door, but I chose not to. |All in all, I had a good stay at

I stayed here on a Saturday night, the women who checked me in at 6pm was nice. The young man who checked me out Sunday morning was also pleasant. The house keeper on floor 2 was very sweet. And most importantly the room and bathroom was very clean and updated. Really nicely done remodel everything is simple which means easy to clean. Breakfast was good I loved the egg omelette! Will definitely recommend staying again.

I am only giving 4 stars because implies perfect. This hotel was cleaned , smelled good, no bugs , all the amenities worked and seemed cleaned . Place is quiet great for rest. 1 star lost becuse the pool is out doors not heated.

Positive: The price was very affordable. Negative: My inlaws found fingernail clippings all over the floor (behind the chair and beside the bed)

I’m now convinced that the reviews and ratings of this hotel are not trustworthy because my experience was completely pleasant! The room was very clean; I could tell it was newly renovated but nicely done! The pillows and covers are heaven sent. In fact, I had to search up the pillow manufacturers online for me to order them for my home. They also had makeup remover wipes—ladies, no more worries! The hostesses were professional and cautious. The front desk managers were very chill folks! Another positive aspect was the included breakfast and that didn’t disappoint. To be fair, you’re not going to get fried egg and croissants but the muffins (cheese , blue berry and dark chocolate) flavors hit pretty well! The also had English muffins and a nice toaster right by it so warm up was easy. Eggs
