Sheraton San Jose Silicon Valley

Had to visit Silicon Valley for meetings with suppliers of services and wanted something close and convenient to their campus and to the airport. The location of the hotel is perfect for meetings at company's like Google, Apple, Facebook, etc. Rooms are spacious and with larger than usual bathroom area. Beds are the Sweet Sleepers that Sheraton and Westin have used for many years, super soft sheets and comforter make for like I'm at my own home so I always get a great nights sleep and that is difficult for many people who travel. The pool area is very spa like with comfortable lounges and grassy areas, there's even some nice fountains to mask the highway noises, but i can tell you this the rooms both inside and outside noise is non existent. Like many before have commented, this property appears to have been great back during the SPG days. Unfortunately, those days are long gone. Dated common facilities were noted throughout. My two room suite was very spacious and generally comfortable, but the toilet ran all night, there was mold in the shower caulking, and the tub barely drained. Room heating/cooling switched between cold blast and hot air even though I just wanted heat in December in San Jose. Club Lounge is super small and crowed, and then was suddenly closed two days straight for breakfast on a Thursday and Friday. Vouchers were given for the restaurant so at least there was that. And now upon departure there is a random $30 charge for "restaurant" on my first day and this wasn't visited or used. Will obviously call hote

I needed this hotel to do 2 things: (1) provide a clean place to shower and (2) a quiet room to sleep. Of the two essential items, it very much failed to do #1 - provide a clean place to shower and clean up. If you don’t care about cleanliness - this may not be a bad place for you as it is relatively quiet as compared to the other hotels in the area. However, if you value cleanliness, you may want to look elsewhere. Upon checking in, I specifically inquired about housekeeping and confirmed that such services would be provided every other day. To my surprise (and disappointment), two days after checking in, I came back to a room that had not been serviced, despite, again, specifically having confirmed and requested housekeeping. We were there with a friend for one night, and unfortunately we had a big issue that wasn't solved properly. We made a coffee the day we arrived and we find a contact lens in our coffee maker, we ask immediately for a MOD and they don't have nobody to come to us. Front desk agent went to our room and just offer apologies for the inconvenience, temoved the coffee maker and the cup with the eye lens. This was horrible! imagine drink your coffee and found in the bottom of the coffee cup a contact lens! After checked out nobody contact us a least to show interest in the incident. Plus both tv on room and lights weren't working.
