Hampton Inn Milpitas

I had a great stay last time so booked again with them this time, this experience has been completely different. Very disorganized Hilton franchise, look elsewhere and avoid if you can. The room that was picked during check-in was changed without my knowledge and the room was not ready for check-in time. They claimed I had not paid upfront even though it was paid for almost a month ago. Why even give someone the chance to pick a room and check in digitally through the Hilton honors app if you are going to honor it.

First I want to focus on the friendly, helpful and professional staff. From checking on parking requirements before my booking to the check in with Aastha, who was exceptional all aspects have been 100%. |The room is clean and reasonably appointed. I have strong hopes on the breakfast.|All booked thru Hilton App with no issues. The phone key was not functioning at this time but I saw that Hilton is footwork on the backend systems on the 28th of September. No worries, card keys were quickly provided. |I would certainly stay here again if I needed a stay in this area.|FYI: It’s about $20 to Uber to SJC.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the location is excellent—just a short walk to the mall and several restaurants. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. My only suggestion would be to offer more variety at breakfast, but overall, I was very satisfied with my experience and would recommend this hotel to others.

Be aware that the door is locked 24 / 7 because apparently there are vagrant people stealing keys for free breakfast very often. If you are a registered, overnight guest sitting in the lobby with their book bag having coffee getting up to leave to get something in their car and then come back in… Using their key… it will level suspicion so strong that a manager will come ask you for your ID. They won’t be wearing a name tag or introduce themselves because they’ve been untrained in hotel industry standards, but fear not they will ferret out anyone who somehow got a key to come in and out. I’ve never felt so harassed and unwelcome in 30 years of traveling. I did what I do in every hotel I stay in. I let my wife sleep in. I get up, clean up, grab my book bag and go to the lobby.
