Rodeway Inn Lake Placid South

The hotel is very simple. The room is stuck in 80s. They are keep it clean. The bed mattress is great, sleep well. The hot tub is very nice and feel so great. I didn't use swimming pool. The hotel location is beautiful in Lake Placid, very closer to the village, restaurant, Olympic Center, Whiteface Mountain (skiing) and shopping.

The parking lot was a sheet of ice. Not good lighting. I was traveling on my own. I had to make several trips trying to get my items to my room. The pool was so creepy. No good lighting at all. It was the one thing I looked forward to, there were no towels. Bummed with this hotel

Horrible, could not stay. Had to check out and request a refund after trying two separate rooms. Place reeks of air freshner, there is mold, it's very dirty and run down. Torn and stained carpet throughout common areas. Non working bathtub. Stained walls and floors, just AWFUL.

Had a nice stay at this hotel. Great price compared to many other hotels in the area for Valentine’s Day weekend. super quick and easy drive to the Main Street. Got here and had to wait 5 minutes outside our room cause the cleaners were still cleaning our room. We didn’t mind though, always nice to actually see your room getting thoroughly cleaned. Our cards did not work to open our door on the second day but there was a group of cleaners who were in the hallway, they helped us into our room and then offered to go get us new cards and brought them back for us. We were very pleased with how friendly and helpful the staff were here! Only had 2 major downsides: was a busy weekend so the parking lot was pretty full, we were lucky to find one last spot. It's affordable is the only positive I guess? Went weekend of New Year's and was only establishment that wasn't price gouging rooms and it's approximately 2 miles from Main Street at Lake Placid. Room overall "appeared" clean but furniture and bedding had staining, curtains were literally falling off railings, toilet requires a constant holding to flush. Lots are not really plowed or maintained so if going in winter make sure your vehicle is 4x4 or you will likely have difficulties even parking. Most unacceptable was the mold visibily growing on Shower walls. Clientele, while I had no issue myself are certainly of the sketchy demographics and I could certainly see people being uncomfortable around such. It simply was a place to sleep for the few nights I was visiting. Do yourself a favor a
