Rizzo Center, a Destination by Hyatt Hotel

Disappointed in the Rizzo Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. For the two nights I stayed there, I could not shower because my arms were not long enough to reach around the partition to turn the shower handle. Considered walking into the shower with a raincoat and umbrella, but could not protect my feet from either scalding or freezing while striking out with my hands to adjust the water temperature. Not even a hole on the side to reach through. Front desk staff could not help, but I recommended replacing the partition with an inexpensive curtain.

Great property! The staff were friendly, and everything was exceptionally clean. The grounds are quiet and well-kept. The complimentary breakfast buffet was solid, and we especially loved the guest pantry with free popcorn, ice cream, and drinks.

My total experience was positive. My window was open and broken when I arrived but the engineer came and fixed it shortly after I reported it. The photos of the rooms are pretty accurate (not quite as bright as the photos). They are clean and have a safe and mini fridge. They offer nice amenities including plant based hygiene products, full breakfast (very tasty), snacks, laundry area, etc. The parking lot was about a 5 minute walk to my room. So if you have multiple or heavy bags, park at the front, take everything to your room and then go park. You can get turned around easy (there are business/conference rooms when heading out of the building to the parking lot) so make sure you're looking at the signs and peeking around corners if you feel like you're lost lol

This facility is beautiful, convenient, and they do a great job of anticipating needs. The staff are so friendly and helpful - in the hotel and all the event areas around the campus. The campus is beautiful and peaceful. Lots of space. There were at least three events happening and it never felt crowded. I would go just for a weekend away.

Positive: I loved that this was not a typically designed hotel and had real style. The rooms, beds and pillows were super comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was fabulous, including the excellent coffee. Negative: Loved EVERYTHING
