Hyatt Place Chapel Hill / Southern Village

Hyatt Place was our choice for a two night stay in the Chapel Hill area. We chose well, as it is a 25 minute drive from the airport, a bit shorter to Duke, and even closer to UNC. We found everything at the hotel to be on par with or exceed our expectations for cleanliness, courtesy, and amenities. ||||Our 2 queens room had comfortable beds and a generous sized sofa. Our room (207) was quiet. I was pleased to see electric vehicle charging spots in the parking lot, and water bottle filling fountains near the ice machine. Breakfast was ample, hot, and satisfying for our days out. We liked the oatmeal, fresh strawberries and blueberries, fresh melon and pineapple, eggs, potatoes and more. An area for improvement was the low shower water pressure (which used more water to rinse off soap). Also

So glad we refused to pay an inflated one-night stay price to be closer to the Dean Smith Center. Hyatt place is approximately 2.5 miles away and one of the cleanest and friendliest (thank you Shanethia) hotels we’ve stayed in. We stay in all levels of hotels but some of the luxury hotels we’ve stayed in couldn’t compare to this friendly & clean Hyatt Place that had a super-clean bathroom with a great shower!!

Hyatt Chapel Hill/Southern Village knows how to treat their guests. They are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. The free daily breakfast is the perfect way to start the day. We love staying here while visiting family in the area.

Great hotel.  Tasty free breakfast and very close to Souther Village which has some good restaurants and bars.

The location is perfect for rideshares to UNC Chapel Hill campus. The staff worked with my Alumni Association to give us a block of rooms at the best rate in the area for a football game. They are very accommodating and have very desirable amenities!
