It was great. Love the fire ring and that we were so close to the water only a short distance walk. Beautiful scenery and temperature was just right. Lots of shade, water was pretty cold. Bathrooms were also nearby. So beautiful.

Currently closed. No signage at the start of dirt road. No notice on Recreation.gov Very rough road from marina.

This is a great little spot.... was an adventure to find but when we got there we had a great time! The rapid waters was wonderfully cold made for a good weekend getaway . Just know no running water so take plenty of hand washing water or antibacterial gel. Plus the skunks are a little gangsta... definitely want to put away any food items you want to use up high. We lost a whole pack of tortillas due to thinking they could get on the top of the picnic table....lol... oh well live and learn.

All ways enjoy going camping her. All ways been able to get a great spot. In the hot summer the cool water is nice. The dam is nice to see and hear. Camping her has all ways been very peaceful. Some times the wind can be fierce. However the scenery is always amazing and that is what makes this a great place to camp at.

The campground is pretty easy to get to even in a sedan. When you go around the corner there’s a handful of small-medium sized sites with a fire ring and table. There was lots of trails down to the river to fish or boat, but I never caught anything. The bathrooms were incredibly clean and there was a dumpster on site. Despite that, there was still trash all over the place. Lots of visitors come through and many don’t follow camp etiquete. Noisy till midnight, leave trash all over the place, let their bad dogs run wild, cut down trees for firewood. The list goes on. If you visit on a weekday you’re more than likely to have a better stay than one on the weekend. Spots fill up quick so I’d get there Friday or Saturday morning.
