Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Lauderdale City of Plantation

Positive: Beautiful hotel, extremely spacious queen bed/ with couch bed room. Negative: Flash in bedroom went off all night, light outside bedroom windows flashed on and off all night. Breakfast was meh.

Our stay at Residence Inn Plantation has provided us with the best hospitality and outstanding housekeeping services. Please request Meredith or Claire they leave your room spotless, stocked up and smelling fresh every time. Thank you too all the other staff for your attentiveness and your warm greetings through out the day. Makes our stay well worth it. Rooms are very spacious, beautiful view of pool, you get to see huge iguanas 🦎 walk around the outside. Breakfast is awesome. This location is centrally located with lots of places to drive to or even consider walking to. Thank you to all Residence Inn Plantation Staff for an outstanding job!

The staff were very friendly and made the stay great. Check in was quick and easy even thought it was very late at night. Breakfast was delicious too. They have a good variety. The rooms were a little run down but it was ok as they were clean. The sofa bed was average, not too comfortable but not bad either. Rooms were also large, especially the restrooms. Nothing fancy, but I think the service was the best.

Worst experience with this hotel. As we were flying to Fort Lauderdale Florida we had reservations at another Marriott hotel, mid flight I get a email saying our room isn’t available even though we had reservations. Once we arrived at the airport we had to call different hotels that could accommodate 2 paraplegics that use a wheelchair 24/7. When we book a room it’s always a roll in shower handicapped room..we then take a $60 uber to this hotel to find out the room we were given wasn’t even a handicapped room, we couldn’t shower, we had a rough time even getting in bed. We checked out the following morning and I was told the GM didnt check me out properly and I have proof of the employee telling me the GM didnt check me out properly, I also received an email stating we trashed the room an

I have stayed at a lot of Marriott hotels over the past 30+ years and they have all upheld fairly decent, if not above average standards. All of them except this one. This hotel felt like it was previously a rundown hotel that somehow got brought into the Marriott family. Unfortunately Marriott’s cleanliness standards were not adhered to because the room we were assigned had tons of black mold in the vents of all 3 rooms. It was a double suite with a common kitchen/living area. I was absolutely disgusted by the amount of black mold growing in the vents. The most noticeable mold were the blobs of black mold stuck to the vents. What I found took a long time to grow. That is not something that happens in a day or a week or even a month.
