Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale/Plantation

Positive: Loved the great hot breakfast. Included in price. The staff was great. Negative: The bed not made and room not cleaned for 3 nights. Towels were changed. They were supposed to do every other night. That should be daily. The snacks were fresh. Pool great. Staff great.

The hotel is currently being remodeled but it’s going very well. I had stayed there before the remodel and it looks so great now. The rooms have luxury vinyl flooring so it was awesome for someone with allergies like myself. The room was very simple but had all the necessary item to have a comfortable stay. Very convenient hotel to sawgrass mills mall.

She was incredibly pleasant and personable, going above and beyond to accommodate our early arrival. She happily stored our bags and provided a helpful overview of the area, including excellent lunch recommendations, while we waited for our room. When we checked in a few hours later, we were impressed by the newly renovated interior; the room had a great feel and fit, representing a really nice job on the updates. I recently stayed at the Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale/Plantation and overall the stay itself was nice. The room was comfortable and the location was convenient. The gentleman who checked me in was excellent — very professional, friendly, and welcoming. He made the check-in process smooth and set a great first impression. Unfortunately, my experience with some of the other staff was disappointing. A few of the cleaning staff and other front desk employees were noticeably unfriendly, and their personal appearance and cleanliness did not reflect the professional standard I would expect from a Hyatt property. I can’t say enough nice things about the staff of this hotel. The service was top notch for the whole 4 night stay. The hotel is going through some much needed renovations and I just could not get comfortable after 2 nights in my first room. When I asked to change rooms they were very understanding and accommodating. In my rush to move my things from one room to another, I managed to leave my passport behind! Two days after checking out I realized my error. Vaneslys, the manager, was very helpful in explaining their process for managing lost items. She then went ahead and looked between the sofa cushions at my request to double check. I can’t express how many headaches this wonderful woman saved me by being willing to go the extra mile.
