Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale City of Plantation

While the hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, the hotel and stay were disappointing. I woke up with pressure hives after the very first night. Thank goodness we were only there two nights. Same thing happened the second night after taking Benadryl when I woke up after the first night. The towels are like sandpaper, the sheets are also rough, the water pressure is weak, and we had no furniture on our balcony to enjoy. We also had housekeeping knock on our door at 11:15 am the day we were leaving when checkout is at 12 pm, and we had the do not disturb sign on the door. The Bistro food was good though, the location is nice with many things to do, and the pool is nice. But we will not stay here again. Disappointing for a Marriott property and for the price.

This was a nice hotel located in Plantation, Florida and about 15 minutes from the Fort Lauderdale International Airport (not including traffic). There was ample parking. The rooms were nice, your standard hotel. It had free wifi, outdoor pool, gym, and The Bistro which is a cafe. We stayed here for a week because it was a central location for us. We have friends and family in the area and it was convenient. There are many amenities nearby too. The hotel was quiet at night. The beds were comfy. The television was decent with channels. We had two queen sized beds. Overall, it was a nice stay and we'd stay there again.

Very disappointed during our recent stay. We have stayed here before as the location is wonderful. But the Bistro menu changed drastically, and they hardly had any breakfast items. They were out of their egg bites and other breakfast items. We were told that they might not be open for dinner as they hotel was not up to full capacity. Staff were not helpful, and the woman at the Bistro was not pleased to be there on Thanksgiving morning. Breakfast was not good. No luggage rack in the room, and the room was small. While the bed was comfortable, the room was not. We love the location as it is near many restaurants, but may have to consider another location in the future.

Dear Courtyard Management Team, My family and I visited the area to celebrate the New Year and had a reservation at your property. Unfortunately, our experience at check-in was deeply disappointing and fell far below the standards I have come to expect as a Titanium Elite Bonvoy member. At approximately 4:00 PM, the front desk associate did not greet us with professionalism or courtesy. Instead of welcoming us, we were informed that the nightly rate had been increased by an additional $70. This lack of hospitality and transparency was both unexpected and discouraging, especially considering my loyalty and long-standing relationship with the Marriott Bonvoy brand. Additionally, Courtyard does not offer complimentary breakfast or coffee, and the Bistro was not open for coffee during our s

Services are quite good with manager very helpful regarding asistance needs, brought in a microwave as the Keurig coffee machine is rather limited in making enough boiling water for tea, a water boiler would be helpful for tea drinkers who need it. Rooms are somewhat in bad shape (very beaten up chair with leather peeling off, very ugly for a 4-stars hotel) and room was not made the next day (clean up as expected), but manager has been helpful in getting extra towels, coffe pods and that microwave.
