La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Plantation at SW 6th St

The staff was very accommodating. It was a last minute booking We had just got of from cruising and our flight was not until late evening, so I called and booked a room and they gave us early check in.. I'm so so glad I had WYNDHAM reward POINTS.. The location was awesome...walked across the street to the MALL and my husband bought JAMAICAN FOOD from a restaurant inside the mall also....had a great experience at the hotel..free coffee with assorted creamers and sugars IT WAS NICE AND HOT....The cleaner and the front Desk lady was so POLITE... THANK YOU FOR OBLIGING US

I stayed here for 2 nights and the hotel itself is well-presenting on the outside. Look near and clean. The lobby is small but lovely. Check in was smooth but the elevator was a bit scary because it had a little jolt when it start or stops moving. The room was clean and all the appliances worked. I used the iron, coffee maker, mini fridge and even the ports on the bedside lamps and everything worked well. The AC Unit was a model i wasn’t familiar with though, it was mounted close to the floor, right below the window, but hey, it did its job 🤷🏾‍♀️ so no problems there. I only had 2 things that caught my eye negatively, the windows had some stuff growing around the edges from possible water damage, my untrained eye would say its mold but there was none seen in the rest of the room or bathroo

We were there for 4 nights in early March 2026. It was grandly build with high ceiling atrium and common área for breakfast. Soft, pleasant decor. No brash muzak playing. Staff were professional enough. There is a cozy pool área were you can relax for a private conversation. Our room was big and well designed. No gawdy decor like some places, but a quiet natural wood-tone and white color scheme. Tastes in beds vary, but we found the firmness to be just right. Great bathroom and shower with easy-to-adjust abundant hot water. We especially appreciated that there is no noisy fan every time you turn on the light. The furniture, for example, is not brand new, showing a little wear. But we found it to be clean, no unpleasant smells, and absolutely NO BUGS of any kind were seen anywher

This la Q not nearly at same level as other la Q down the street. 1st room smelled and all furniture sticky. After complaining, was given a second room, which was better by far, but hallways all stunk of mariju*na. The no smoking signs posted dont seem to apply for many hotel guests there. Gross. Breakfast was OK. Won't be back.
