Residence Inn by Marriott Atlanta Duluth/Gwinnett Place

Great experience in my 5 week stay there for business training. The staff was especially attentive to any and all of my needs. General Manager Laurie went above and beyond understanding my unique circumstances. Catelyn was equally as sharp and helpful! On top of that Yolanda was extra sweet and accomodating too! Lastly but CERTAINLY not the least Quintin!! You should put that guy in sales! He had me cracking up laughing the entire time while also being proficient and efficient at his job. Overall great experience that allowed me to focus on my training with no distractions or hiccups. Across the board the staff was welcoming and pleasant. I was staying here on a work trip. The hotel is clean, spacious and the service is fantastic. My tv was not working and the front desk sent up Cliff to fix it. He was awesome. He fixed the tv in mins and even gave me a movie recommendation. The movie was a 10/10. My job has my team here for 160 days and it definitely feels homie and comfy and the staff is amazing.

The front desk clerk, Berlin, was extremely rude and displayed racist behavior toward me and my fiancé, who were visiting from out of town for JapanFest. Despite paying $130 for our stay, we were refused accommodation without a valid reason. On top of that, Berlin seemed unprofessional and unknowledgeable about his job. This was a very disappointing and unacceptable experience.

Positive: The staff were pleasant, accomodating, and communicative. They made up for any hiccups within our reservation. Negative: The air units in the building and rooms did not seem to be working well. The mattresses on the queen sleeper sofas either need to be replaced or cleaned. Two we had had snack crumbs all in them.

We had a pleasant stay in a clean, spacious, quiet suite on the first floor. There is plenty of parking and the breakfast and coffee are standard Residence Inn fare. Luggage racks are available and most are fully functional which is nice. What stands out is the staff. Jamika was excellent and provided gracious help when we asked for it. She truly stood out in a very positive way. All the other staff were also polite, friendly and helpful. Berlin helped me when I had to make an unexpected change to my reservation and reassured me that all was well. Yolanda is very cheerful and helpful and her attitude brightens my day! The room does not have an oven but that seems to be the new standard path for Residence Inn’s. We’ve stayed at many. Life is good with a good night’s sleep while on a mas
